Text: Esther 4:10-17
Memory verse:
“The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, Like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes.”
Proverbs 21:1 NKJV
The Queen of England said, “I fear the prayers of John Knox more than all the armies of Europe put together.'” Prayer is a divine tool for an unstoppable turnaround. God turns the most hardened heart around when prayer is engaged.
That was the experience of Esther, according to our text. God changed the signed and sealed decree when Esther and the Jews prayed.
The word of God contains a catalog of men and women who moved the hand that moved the world.
Rebecca was barren for about twenty years and the barrenness remained like a mountain until Isaac engaged his turnaround tool. The result was the conception of a set of twins. “Because Rebecca had no children, Isaac prayed to the LORD for her. The LORD answered his prayer, and Rebecca became pregnant. “ (Gen 25:21 GNT).
What about Job? Most people had given up hope on his recovery. However, that hopeless situation was turned around through the tool of prayer. His situation did not just change, but he had double in return. “When Job prayed for his friends, the LORD restored his fortunes. In fact, the LORD gave him twice as much as before” (Job 42:10 NLT).
Prayer gives you power before God. Someone may be able to resist your word but won’t when you engage the potent tool of prayer. Prayer is not powerful in itself but it is, because it invokes the power of the Almighty into your situation.
Some years ago, while we were at the point of concluding the purchase of one of our ministry’s property, the owner of the property suddenly changed his mind and determined he was no longer selling it. All the stakeholders involved in the transaction made every effort to convince him against his sudden decision but he insisted. His reason was that we were going to build a church there. We all left there that day dejected because we had gone a long way now to have that disappointment. But when I got back home that evening, the Holy Spirit moved me to pray and I also contacted a few brethren to join in the prayer. That same night, the Almighty encountered the land owner and turned his heart against his earlier decision. And in the morning, the deal was concluded within few minutes. “… You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask.”
(James 4:2).
Friends, rather than begging men, crying, regretting, arguing or fighting, engage your tool of prayer to turnaround the situation.

1. Father, please, pour Your Spirit upon me and drive me to the place of prayer in Jesus name.
2. Father, please, give me a turnaround testimony as I engage my tool of prayer this month in Jesus name.

1. Prayer is my divine turnaround tool that satan cannot resist.
2. When I go to God in prayer, He visits me with His turnaround power and the result is my turnaround testimony.
