ALL SOULS ARE IN GOD’S HAND

ALL SOULS ARE IN GOD’S HAND

Text: Psalms 25:1-2
Memory text:
“In whose hand is the life of every living thing, And the breath of all mankind?”
‭‭Job‬ ‭12‬:‭10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

It may appear insultive, but when God calls someone a fool, he is a fool indeed. The scripture says, “Only fools say in their hearts, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and their actions are evil; not one of them does good!” (Psa 14:1 NLT). Their foolishness makes them do corrupt and terrible things. They are heartless and cruel and never do right.
The worst of these foolish people are the wicked and boasters. They boast in their wickedness against the innocent and even against their Maker. Like Pharaoh boasted, “And who is the LORD? Why should I listen to him and let Israel go? I don’t know the LORD, and I will not let Israel go.” (Exo 5:2 NLT). They boast like these, “As long as I am here, you won’t get that promotion. Over my dead body will you ever get married. Only if I don’t wake up will you get out of this condition!”
Have they not read the scriptures? Have they not heard about the deeds of God in the past? What an ignorance!
Hear what the word of God says. “In whose hand is the life of every living thing, And the breath of all mankind?” (Job 12:10 NLT). The soul and the breath of every living thing, including man, are in His hand.
God created all things and sustains them by the power of His hand. Your life and destiny are sustained by His hand. This children’s song captures it well.
“He’s got the whole world in His hands….
He’s got everybody here in His hands….
He’s got the whole world in His hands.”
Let none of us act like fools by boasting in wickedness. Also, the next time you see someone boasting and threatening in his wickedness, be quick to remind him that God holds his soul in His hand. Let such a person also know that it is God that woke him up in the morning to continue in his wickedness! God sustains our lives by waking us up in the mornings. “I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the LORD, sustained me.” (Psa 3:5).
Friends, rather than being afraid, bring the case of those who are boasting in their wickedness against you to the One who holds their souls in His hand. Hallelujah!
