Text: John 6:12-13
Memory verse:
āāDo not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.ā

The seventh category of ungrateful people are the wasteful. Whatever you treasure and appreciate, you preserve and manage it. Contrarily, you squander and mismanage whatever you donāt appreciate. Wasters simply demonstrate that they donāt value or appreciate Godās goodness bestowed on them, just as a pig doesnāt value the gold pearls worn on it. āThere is precious treasure and oil in the house of the wise [who prepare for the future], But a short-sighted and foolish man swallows it up and wastesā (Prov 21:20 AMP).
Fools are wasters and ungrateful people are fools (Psa 92:5-6).
Donāt waste Godās grace and investment in your life but appreciate it by maximizing, investing and preserving it (1 Cor 15:10; 2 Cor 6:1).
Show your gratitude by putting the grace you have received to work.
So far, we have seen six types of ungrateful people. Letās review them.
Firstly, grateful people have no entitlement mentality. They are thankful because they know that they are not entitled to anything in themselves except that which grace has qualified them for.
Secondly, grateful people donāt allow any unpleasant situation to blot out Godās goodness in the past from their minds. They always remember His marvellous works and wonders in the midst of their anguish.
Thirdly, grateful people are not too busy to serve God. They know that one will always create time for whatever is important. Busyness qualifies them for Godās service.
Fourthly, grateful people donāt seek God in trouble and dump Him in rest. They are so grateful for His benefits that they donāt want to lose it through sin anymore.
Fifthly, grateful people are not greedy and wicked. They donāt receive their portion and then turn around to take Godās portion. They honour God with their first fruit and their tithe.
Sixthly, grateful people donāt class, compare or measure themselves by others, which can lead to envy or pride. They focus on Christ and the riches in Christ and are thankful.
Friends, build your attitude of gratitude today.
