Text: Luke 8:41-50
Memory verse:
“But when Jesus heard it, He answered him, saying, “Do not be afraid; only believe, and she will be made well.”” Luke 8:50
Fear is one of the greatest strategies of the enemy. It is the enemy of faith and without faith, you can’t be victorious in the battles of life. For you to bring the answers of your prayers from the realms of the unseen to the seen, you have to follow through in your faith. This is where most believers get it wrong. They get so high in faith during the time of prayer or revival meeting but drop before the physical manifestation of what they prayed for. So,rather than delivering what they conceived during the prayer meeting, they suffer ‘expectation abortion’.
You must not be ignorant that the enemy will fight your faith whenever you choose to walk in faith. He will bombard you with fear and doubt especially at the edge of your miracle, just to corrupt your faith. In our text today, imagine all the challenges the ruler of the synagogue would have overcome to get to this point. As Jesus went with Him, another person interrupted and Jesus attended to her.(Luke 8:43-48). Yet, the ruler waited in faith, despite knowing that his daughter’s case needed a more urgent attention. While waiting, the devil showed up with his faith extinguisher. “While He was still speaking, someone came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house, saying to him, “Your daughter is dead. Do not trouble the Teacher.” (Luke 8:49).
Friends, having gone this far and patiently waiting for the manifestation of all that you have prayed about, watch out for distractions and faith extinguishers. Don’t fear, but keep believing. Your miracle is nearer than you can imagine.
Prayer points
1. Father, I receive your grace to follow through in my faith till I have the physical manifestation of my prayer in Jesus name.
2. I stand against faith extinguishers and decree that I will not suffer ‘expectation abortion’ in Jesus name.
Today’s declarations
1. As I patiently wait for the manifestation of my prayers, I watch out for faith extinguishers.
2. When the day is about to break, the night gets darker; when miracles are about to be delivered, the devil bombards with fear and doubt.
