Text: Luke 10:17-19
Memory verse:
”The Lord your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.”“
Zephaniah 3:17 NKJV
Though God stands out in authority and power, yet He wants us to experience, manifest, and have access to His authority and limitless power. Jesus, as God, gives authority to believers over satan and all His powers. ”Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.“ (Luke 10:19). We have received the right to make decisions concerning the devil and to exercise control over him. You can determine the limits of his operation around you. Our authority goes hand in hand with power to enforce the compliance of our order and to punish every disobedience (2 Cor 10:6). Wherever you see lawlessness and disobedience, it’s a sign of the lack of power or weak power. If you don’t know this, satan will take advantage of your ignorance, steal your authority, and turn around to use it against you. It’s therefore important for you to know that it is God’s will for you to tap into that immeasurable power of the Almighty. Some believers have the mindset that the power is only available to apostles, prophets, pastors, and so forth. No. For as long as you think like this, you can’t draw that power.
You see, according to our memory text, the Lord our God is not only mighty on His throne but mighty in our midst, mighty to save and to deliver. The mightiness of His power is shown in our midst.
Apostle Paul, having reached the zenith of his ministry and with the experiences of the working of God’s power, still cried out to know more of that power (Phil 3:10). Any one of us could have thought, “What was he aiming to get again?” He did that because he knew that God takes great delight in revealing His glorious power to those who long for it and press into it.
In Ephesians 1:19-20, he also prayed that all believers, not a set of them, will experience that immeasurable, infinitely limitless power; the power that never falls short of accomplishing what God has designed for it.
Friends, don’t shut yourself out of God’s loving plan for you. God has given you access into the storehouse of His power. Believe it and press into it. Hallelujah!
Prayer points
1. Father, please, reveal Your limitless power to me and cause me to manifest it in Jesus’ name.
2. Father, let my life never be empty of Your power at any time, in Jesus’ name.
Today’s declarations
1. God is not only mighty on His throne but mighty in my life and among us.
2. I know that it’s God’s desire that I have access to His power, so I make a demand for it.
