Text: Luke 11:16-22
Memory verse:
âFor the kingdom of God is not in word but in power.â ââ
I Corinthians ⏠â4âŹ:â20⏠NKJV
You see, your claims that your God is the all-powerful God is not as important as your manifestation of that power. If the occult man in your community is the one still directing the ways things happen in the community, then you will find it difficult to convince people that you have power. If your power canât compel others’ compliance or canât influence a circumstance to have your desired result, then it is no power or it is a weak power. What you know doesnât matter until it translates to power. No one cares about the scriptures you know, the theological certificates you have, or the Bible schools you attended, if it doesnât mean power. The kingdom is not in cheap talks but by power. It must release supernatural energy that compels compliance to the will of God. Paul quipped, âAnd my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,â ââ(I Cor⏠â2âŹ:â4âŹ). May your life never be deficient of power from now, in Jesusâ name.
So many believers claim that they have dominion, and yet they helplessly watch the devil turn their lives and families into his refuse bin! If your dominion canât protect your territory, then it is questionable. Power releases energy that causes things, circumstances, and even demons to obey you. In other words, they wonât submit until they see power. âSay to God, âHow awesome are Your works! Through the greatness of Your power, Your enemies shall submit themselves to You.â ââ(Psa⏠â66âŹ:â3âŹ). Did you notice that? Godâs power forced the enemies to surrender!
You need power to retain whatever good thing that God has given you against the attack of plunderers and the emptiers! It takes a powerful man to keep himself, children, and works from the enemies (Luke 11:21). Wisdom will get you riches, but power will retain the riches. â..strong men retain riches.â (Prov 16:11). Some translations say, âviolent menâ. In the kingdom, it takes power and violence to have your portion in destiny and to retain it (Matt 11:12).
Friends, in the kingdom of God, power is the definition of every believer. God has given you access to His great power, why will you not take advantage of it?
Prayer points
1. Father, please, I donât want to be a powerless believer, anoint me with the Holy Ghost and with power, in Jesusâ name.
2. I take authority over the plunderers and emptiers, and I keep you off from my house, in Jesusâ name.
Todayâs declarations
1. It takes power to receive and retain my portion in destiny.
2. The enemy doesnât submit to me because I am a believer but because I manifest the power of sonship.
