DECISION DETERMINES DESTINY (3)

DECISION DETERMINES DESTINY (3)

Text: Proverbs 3: 5-7
Memory verse:
“O Lord, I know the way of man is not in himself; It is not in man who walks to direct his own steps.” ‭‭(Jeremiah 10‬:‭23‬)

You are not a biological or genetic accident, nor a mistake or mishap. Even if your parents didn’t plan to have you, God planned for you far before you were born. He scheduled each day of your life and created you with a destination in mind. You are not meant to grope through the world. Your God-given destiny is that destination that God has prepared for you before you were born.
“You saw me before I was born. The days allotted to me had all been recorded in your book, before any of them ever began.”
‭‭(Psa 139‬:‭16‬ ‭GNT‬‬).
Knowing our limitations as humans, we need divine assistance to be able to discover God’s destiny path for our lives and to walk in it within the brief period of our lives on earth. This was what David meant when he prayed, “So teach us to number our days, That we may gain a heart of wisdom.” ‭‭(Psa‬ 90:12). We need wisdom to make right choices. How can you access this divine wisdom?
Firstly, acknowledge your limitations and ask for His direction in every thing and not some things.Put aside your experiences, your skills and your connections and ask Him to lead you (Jam 1:5).
Secondly, fear God and walk in righteousness as you have been made righteous. This will attract His favour (Psa 25:12).
Thirdly, always seek His will in His word. God’s will is your GPS to navigate you through your destiny path (Psa 119:18).
Fourthly, trust God, instead of fretting and worrying, which can make you miss out of His path (Isa 26:3)
Lastly, seek for godly counsels. God can give you light through the counsels of godly people. Proverbs 28:26 (MSG) says, “If you think you know it all, you’re a fool for sure; real survivors learn wisdom from others.” ‭‭
May you never miss your path of destiny in Jesus name.
