Text: Psalm 34:1-4

“I sought the Lord, and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭34‬:‭4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The scripture is filled with testimonies of answered prayers. God has given such testimonies to encourage us also not to give up in the place of prayer. If there is anything that the enemy will attack, it is your prayer life. The enemy knows that the place of prayer is the place where the miracle is birthed.
At a stage, some Israelites got so discouraged, thinking that God had forgotten them and won’t answer them anymore. Then, God responded, “Israel, why then do you complain that the LORD doesn’t know your troubles or care if you suffer injustice?” (Isa 40:27 GNT). Friends, God knows all that you are going through, yet He won’t do anything unless you pray. So, complaining, grumbling, or drawing back won’t solve the problem but will plunge you into more troubles. This is what God says, “You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and can not obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask.” ‭‭(James‬ ‭4‬:‭2‬). Did you see that? ‘… you do not have because you do not ask’. Jesus Himself said, “For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” ‭‭(Matt‬ ‭7‬:‭8‬).
David gave the profile of God in this regard in Psalm 34.
Firstly is his personal testimony of answered prayer, according to our memory text. It’s more convincing when someone shares with you what he has experienced. He sought the Lord through prayer. We shouldn’t miss the result he got. The Lord ‘.. delivered me from all my fears.’ Did you see that? Not one of his fears but ALL his fears. Why do you then think God will do less for you if you also seek Him in prayer? Do you have fears over your health, your spouse, or your child’s health? Are you being terrified by the symptoms you are having now, with the medical test results or with what your doctor has told you? Do you have fears about your children? Have you lost your sleep over that huge debt hanging on your neck and with the threats of your creditors? Whatever is the cause of that fear, I prophesy to someone reading this devotional, that the Almighty God will deliver you and turn your many fears to favour, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer points
1. Father, please, help me never to give up or stop seeking You in prayers, in Jesus’ name.
2. Father, please, deliver me from all my fears and give me a personal testimony of answered prayers in Jesus’ name.

Today’s declarations
1. I won’t give up in the place of prayer nor get discouraged from seeking God.
2. I see God delivering me from all my fears and not one of my fears and giving me testimonies.
