DEVELOPING PEACEFUL HABIT 2

DEVELOPING PEACEFUL HABIT 2

Text: Matthew 21:1-7
Memory text:
“And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭6‬:‭13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

An ass that has never been used is known to be unbroken, untrained, and stubborn, yet when the Master rode on it, its strong will was brought under subjection. Likewise, when Peter yielded to the Lord, God transformed his aggressive emotion to something valuable. As you think on the following lessons again, let the Master transform you into His image.
1. Be sensible, don’t talk too much, and watch what you say, else you will say the wrong things and regret it.
2. A person’s words can either be soft or harsh words, piercing sword or healing balm.
3. Soft words are gentle, thoughtful, kindhearted, and calming words, while harsh words are bitter, hurtful, discouraging, and destructive words.
4. A person can either be slow to anger or quick tempered.
5. A person who is slow to anger averts quarrels and stops anger, but a hot-tempered person stirs it up.
6. To be slow to anger is better than to be mighty.
7. To be able to turn away wrath is godlike and a priceless virtue.
8. He who is slow to anger demonstrates great wisdom and strength, but he who is quick tempered demonstrates folly and weakness.
9. The discretion of a man makes him to be slow to anger and overlook an offense.
10. You can diffuse anger by responding with soft words as everyone appreciates love and respect.
11. Anger escalates when voices are raised but doused with calm or soft voices.
12. Your natural temperament does not validate raising your voice while expressing your view.
13. A wise man does not respond naturally to anger nor respond impulsively but with soft words and thoughtfulness.
14. To be moderate in speaking means to be gentle and considerate in your words.
15. God’s grace can transform a lion into a dove; a wrathful to a gentle personality.
Sing out this song. May it be your daily song this year
“From glory to glory He’s changing me, changing me, changing me;
His likeness and image to perfect in me, the love of God shown to the world.
For He’s changing, changing me!
From earthly things to the heavenly!
His likeness and image to perfect in me, the love of God shown to the world!”

Prayer points
1. Father, as I submit to You, let Your grace daily transform me into Your Own likeness, in Jesus’ name.
2. Father, I surrender my emotion, temperament, and will, please break me, mold me, and use me for Your glory, in Jesus’ name.

Today’s declarations
1. I see God changing me into His own likeness as I daily behold His glory and meditate on His word.
2. I yield my members, including my emotions, temperament, and will to God as instruments of righteousness.
