EAT WISELY (5)

EAT WISELY (5)

Text:: Ecclesiastes 10;16-17
Memory verse:
“Woe to you, O land, when your king is a child, And your princes feast in the morning!”
‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭10‬:‭16‬

In practicing wise eating habit, when we eat is just as important as what we eat, how we prepare what we eat and how we eat. Eating the right food and in the right way but at the wrong time can negatively affect your health.
“Woe to you, O land, when your king is a child, And your princes feast in the morning!”‭‭(Ecc‭10‬:‭16‬).
The GNT says, “.., and its leaders feast all night long”
One of the characteristics of children is that they eat frequently and at any time. Most infants don’t sleep straight in the night but wake up to feed. Also, for you to keep children calm in a program, you will need to give them something to munch.
What the scripture is saying here is that it’s odd for an adult to feed early in the morning or late in the night.
Some brethren have made their bellies their god. They eat throughout the day time; wake up in the night and early in the morning to eat. And rather than discipline their bodies, they claim they don’t have grace for fasting. “whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly…” ‭‭(Phil‬ ‭3‬:‭19‬). Food is for gaining strength and not to be indulged. Abuse of food leads one to destruction.
Now, aside from the spiritual benefits, eating in the morning or in the night will interfere with the
natural body process. Wastes from the digestive and repair processes are eliminated in the morning hours, usually from 4.00am to 12noon. For a healthy life, the body must be regularly cleansed from wastes and toxins. Eating in the morning hours will halt the elimination or detoxification phase and begin another digestion without completing the cycle, creating an unhealthy body.
The ideal food for the morning hours are those that facilitate the elimination of wastes, such as, water, fruits and veggies in the forms of salad, smoothies or juices.
Friends, regular detoxification will make you healthier, younger and stronger like Daniel and his friends.

Prayer points
1. Father, please, deliver me from every childish eating habits in Jesus name.
2. Father, I receive Your grace to tame my appetite for food and in all things in Jesus name.

Today’s declarations
1. When I fast, I get the second benefit, which is the detoxification of my body.
2. I am not a child, I don’t eat late in the night nor eat early in the morning.
