FAITHFULNESS PRECEDES ANOINTING (3)

FAITHFULNESS PRECEDES ANOINTING (3)

Text: James 5:7-12
Memory text:
“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”
Galatians 6:9 NKJV

A farmer plants seeds and faithfully tends his field every day, that is, watering, weeding, and waiting.
He can not force the harvest to come early, but he knows that if he stays faithful, the season will surely come.
“Be patient like those farmers and don’t give up. The Lord will soon be here!” ‭‭(Jam‬ ‭5‬:‭8‬ ‭CEV‬‬). Just like the farmer, your job is faithfulness; God’s job is timing. If you stop working before the harvest, you lose the crop.
Unfortunately, some believers are highly impatient about life. They give up on God, on their vows and their promises. They are likened to a person who pressed the elevator button, then got impatient and walked away. Moments later, the door opened, but he was gone. Many believers leave before their “elevator moment.” Faithfulness is waiting in position until God’s door opens.
Faithfulness aligns you with God’s timing. Many desire the oil before they have passed the test. Faithfulness keeps you positioned until it is the due time, the right time, or the time when God says, “Now.” The NLT of our memory text says, “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time, we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” The “due season or right time” comes only to those who don’t give up in the “waiting season.” Faithfulness is the bridge between the promise and the fulfillment.
Every elevation is preceded by a season of consistent faithfulness. Throughout his dark season, Joseph was faithful. The dark season is likened to the time when a farmer patiently waits, having sown his seed. In Potiphar’s house, he served faithfully and in prison, he interpreted dreams faithfully. Thus, when God’s time came, Pharaoh called him out in one day and quickly (Gen‬ ‭41‬:‭14; Psa 105:19-20). His faithfulness during the hidden or dark season was richly rewarded at the due time. Thank God that he didn’t murmur, rebelled, or became bitter during the process. That would have disqualified him. In one night, he moved from being a prisoner to being a prime minister. Before God gives you power, He watches how you handle pressure. One day of divine timing can reward years of faithfulness!
Friends, faithfulness today prepares you for the anointing tomorrow. When you stay faithful, you won’t miss your divine appointment. Faithfulness is how you wait; timing is how God rewards. God’s timing finds you where faithfulness keeps you. The oil flows when waiting and timing meet.

Prayer points
1. Father, I receive grace to remain patient, consistent, obedient, and faithful during my waiting times. Let me not miss the anointing, my elevation, and my manifestation, in Jesus’ name.
2. Father, deliver me from impatience and the pressure to run ahead of You. Strengthen my heart to serve faithfully in hidden seasons, in Jesus’ name.

Today’s declarations
1. I walk in God’s timing because I walk in faithfulness. I am patient, consistent, and obedient while I am waiting.
2. In due season, I will reap the harvest of my faithfulness. I will not miss my divine appointment. My waiting season is working, not wasting.
