Text: 2 Kings 3:21-27
Memory text:
“Gather My saints together to Me, Those who have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice.”
Psalms 50:5 NKJV
God’s kingdom principles have their counterfeit in the satanic kingdom. Sacrificial giving is rooted in the scriptures. God told Abraham to offer Isaac, his only son, whom he loved as a sacrifice. Although, God eventually provided a ram for the sacrifice, but it is believed that Abraham had already offered Isaac in his heart.
A good example of sacrificial offering in the kingdom of satan is seen in our text. Having done all and seeing himself on the verge of losing the battle, the King of Moab acted in desperation. He offered his own son, his heir, as a burnt offering to the god Chemosh, hoping to turn the tide of war. Thus, the allied forces retreated and Moab retained its independence for the next two centuries.
Sacrificial giving is something you give out that touches you so much, either by the virtue of its quantity like a huge amount or its quality like being the only thing left. Abraham gave his only son. Solomon gave 1000 burnt offerings, being three times more than what anyone had ever given. The widow of Zarephath gave her last meal. The lad gave his lunch pack. The widow gave all she had. Sacrificial giving leaves a vacuum in you after giving, but it’s a key to accessing the supernatural and triggering supernatural supply.
A sister had secondary infertility for eight years. Medical reports showed that her fallopian tube was blocked and that she required a surgery that had 50/50 chance. It means a 50% probability of success and a 50% probability of failure of her having another child.
Having been told the cost of the surgery and acting in faith, she gave out the money to God in her church in the place of the surgery. That same year, she got pregnant and gave birth to a son. Her sacrificial giving released supernatural power that opened up her fallopian tube.
After a while, various doctors confirmed that the young child had a brain problem that required surgery. The mother, again in faith, went to church and sowed the money for the surgery. Mercy showed up for the boy again, and he was healed. This boy is an adult and a university graduate today. Hallelujah!
Friends, what God can’t do doesn’t exist! Sacrificial giving gives you fast access into the supernatural realm to draw the power that makes all things possible.
