GIVING AND THE SUPERNATURAL

GIVING AND THE SUPERNATURAL

Text: Luke 5:1-7
Memory text:
“He who continually goes forth weeping, Bearing seed for sowing, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, Bringing his sheaves with him.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭126‬:‭6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

People who operate in the supernatural usually laugh when others are complaining of scarcity. They never experience lean times no matter how tough the economy is. “You will laugh at the threat of destruction and famine…” (Job 5:22 CEV).
There are keys required to enter into the realm of the supernatural. Giving is a divine, tested, and non-negotiable key or principle for accessing supernatural provision.
In our text today, having laboured tirelessly all night long without results, Peter decided to call it a quit in the morning. He was washing his net when the Lord of the harvest showed up and asked for his boat to be used as a pulpit. You see, God is bigger than your needs. In fact, He is not moved by your need but by your seed. Prosperity does not answer to prayer and fasting but to giving. When God asks you to give Him what you have, it’s not because He is in need but because He wants to open to you the door of supernatural supplies. God owns all resources and cannot lack anything.
Sacrificial giving gives accelerated access to God’s supernatural provision. Peter willingly offered his boat and his time for the Lord’s work at a time when most people would have rebuffed such requests. It’s a sacrificial giving because he offered it in tears. Though such sacrifice brings out tears and causes weeping, it eventually brings back captivity and causes great joy (Psa 126:1-6). Likewise, when Isaac sowed at the time of scarcity, God blessed Him with supernatural harvest (Gen 26:12-13).
When Peter gave his boat for kingdom assignment, the Lord rewarded him afterward. He had a net-breaking supernatural harvest. He had more than he ever asked for or imagined.
Friends, don’t let any challenge frustrate you out of giving. Rather, let it provoke you to more dangerous giving. Peter would have continued to struggle through life and die as a poor fisherman if he allowed that failure to make him stingy. It doesn’t matter how many people pray for you or how many you pray for. If you don’t give, you will remain a slave to lack. Even God gave His only Son so as to have many sons. Giving is the key to breaking out of any poverty cycle and the key to maintaining your supernatural supply. Where you are today or your financial condition is traceable to your giving habits.

Prayer points
1. I refuse to allow my financial situation, the economic recession in the nation, or any challenge to frustrate me out of giving, in Jesus’ name.
2. Father, pour afresh upon me the grace of giving and of sacrificial giving and let me experience Your supernatural supply, in Jesus’ name.

Today’s declarations
1. When I give and give sacrificially, I open the door for a net-breaking supernatural harvest.
2. I will not allow any challenge to frustrate me out of giving, but I will continue to give to break out of poverty cycle and to maintain my breakthrough.
