Text: Genesis 1:26-30
Memory verse:
“The plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty, But those of everyone who is hasty, surely to poverty.” Proverbs 21:5
Planning is the secret of dreams fulfillment. Success and productivity never happen by accident but by wise planning. He who fails to plan is already planning to fail. Planning is the surest way to avoid the waste of life, time, money and resources. Dreams without plans will amount to frustration. Planners are dreamers with plans.
“Without good advice everything goes wrong–it takes careful planning for things to go right”
(Prov 15:22 CEV)
Planning is simply stated as deciding in advance what to be done in the future. It is a predetermined course of action.
Our God is a master and strategic planner. He is a God of order and where there is disorderliness and confusion, He is never there (1 Cor 14:33).
Looking closely at the step by step process of the creation project, you will see that nothing was done in a haste or as an afterthought. God planned the creation process before He began to execute. He created the light before creating every other thing. He created the sea, land and vegetation before the animals. Can you imagine what would have happened if He had created the animals first? To crown it all, He put everything in place before making the man. He also provided a job for the man before providing a wife for Him. What a strategic planner!
Some people think that planning is ungodly. No, it is planning without involving God that is ungodly (Jam 4:13-15). Wise planning is a nature of God. If you are a child of God, you have the nature of God in you and it means, the ability to execute successful projects and fulfill your dreams through wise planning is in you. (2 Pet 1:4)
Friends, no matter how disorganized your life has been, you can begin to have an organized and fulfilling life, be it in your spiritual life, family, finance, academics etc. A wise man also plans for eternity.
