“So the Lord said to Joshua: “Get up! Why do you lie thus on your face?”
‭‭Joshua‬ ‭7‬:‭10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The higher ground is a place of revelation. Revelation is having answers, by the Spirit, to the mysteries of life. It is getting answers to the ‘why’ and the riddles of life. So, the place of revelation is where God shows you deep and mighty things that you don’t know; where God shows you His purpose and His plans.
Paul received revelation about the Gentiles’ ministry, which was not known in the ages past and to the other apostles (Eph‬ ‭3‬:‭3‬). Even though Christ had already broken the middle wall of separation, yet the Gentiles were still regarded as outcasts in the church until Paul’s revelation.
When God gives you a revelation, the word that is preached to everyone or read by everyone becomes so personal to you. The word gives light to your darkness. This was what David meant when he said, “For You will light my lamp; The LORD my God will enlighten my darkness” (Psa 18:28). There is a lamp inside everyone, which cannot serve its purpose until it is lighted by the Spirit of God. Thus, the revelation by the Spirit dispels every darkness.
Are you tired of why things are like they are? Are you lost about why your life is a combination of victories and defeats? Are you surprised by the strange happenings in your life? Then, answer to the Father’s invitation to ‘come up here’. The door is already opened for you, but you need to first get up. Stop grumbling and whining. “Awake, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will give you light.” (Eph 5:14).
After Israel was strangely defeated and had suffered casualties in the battle with the people of Ai, a small city, Joshua cried out to the Lord. “So the Lord said: “Get up! Why do you lie thus on your face?” ‭‭(Jos‬ ‭7‬:‭10‬). Do you desire the higher ground in glory, then ‘Get up’. Until you ‘get up’, ‘awake from sleep’ or ‘arise from the dead’, you can’t move into the higher ground. He got a revelation about the accursed things in their midst. Revelation brought their restoration. Likewise, you must remove any accursed things, that is, anything that does not please God in your life, before you can go to the higher ground. It may be lust, lies, hatred, bitterness, stubbornness, rebellion, malice, or anything that the Spirit reveals to you.
Friends, your world will change only after you have removed the accursed things. Get up to get a revelation for your restoration today.

Prayer points
1. Father, open my eyes to any accursed thing behind the strange happenings in my life, in Jesus’ name.
2. Father, I stop grumbling and whining, and I receive the grace and courage to get up to confront the accursed things in Jesus’ name.

Today’s declarations
1. Until I take the courage to get up, I cannot go the higher ground.
2. The place of revelation is the place of restoration.
