Text: Ephesians 6:10-18

Studying biography is important, because in them, you learn what made a person to succeed so you can also apply them or what caused the failures so you can avoid them.
One man whose life remains an inspiration to me is apostle Paul. When you study his background and his position among the apostles and then compare his exploits for the kingdom with the other apostles, you can’t but ask, ‘What factors accounted for the huge difference?’ He wrote two-third of the epistles. He reached more and established more churches than any of the apostles. His theology was so hard that, even apostle Peter found it hard to understand (2 Pet 3:15-16). Yes, I know it’s grace but what are the means of that grace?
Firstly, let’s read his personal testimony. “I thank my God I speak with tongues more than you all;” (‭‭I Cor‬ ‭14‬:‭18‬). This was his foremost leading edge. He drew the benefits of speaking in tongues more than the other apostles and all the members of the Corinthians’ church.
Secondly, knowing the enormity, and complexity of the work, he engaged the help of the Holy Spirit in intercession. When you pray in tongues, the Holy Spirit groans through you to make intercession, covering things beyond your natural knowledge and scope (Rom 8:26-27).
Thirdly, he confronted and ravaged principalities, powers, rulers and spiritual wickedness that daily worked to stop him, not only by praying in his understanding but by praying in tongues. “praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit…” ‭‭(Eph‬ ‭6‬:‭18‬).
Friends, your prayer of understanding is limited, engage the Holy Spirit, the fourth dimension, in your prayer of supplication, intercession and warfare. It is the secret of exploits in life and ministry.

1. Holy Spirit, please help my weakness and intercede through me as I submit to You in prayer in Jesus name.
2. Father, please do great exploits through me as I pray all manners of prayer and supplication in the spirit in Jesus name.
