Text: Psalm 91:11&12
Memory Verse:
” And he was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted of Satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him. Mark 1:13.
Today we will be looking at angels as invisible company available to us as believers.
Can you imagine having some specially trained and fully paid officers attached to you for your welfare? Their mandate is to defend you, carry out your errands, clear traffic on the road for you, stand alert round your house when you are sleeping and always there to serve you.
Do you know that we have something far better in God?
Jesus said to His disciples, “Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heavenâ (Matt 18:10). Some folks think this statement of Jesus means that, only little children have angels attached to them. No, Jesus didnât say such. In fact, no where in the scriptures says, we lose our angels as we grow.
” For he shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways”.(Psa 91:11).
â⊠in ALL your waysâ and not just when you’re still a baby or a child. That means, growing into adulthood doesnât deprive you of the privilege of having angels as your ministers. Glory!
At the time Jesus called this little child into their midst and made this statement, none of the disciples saw angels with the child, but Jesus did. You may be an adult today but if you are born again, you remain a child of God. Yes, you may not see them, but you also have angels assigned to you. âAre they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?â ââ(Heb 1âŹ:â14âŹ). Donât let ignorance or unbelief make you to lose this great privilege. What honour that God has bestowed on the redeemed to have these supernatural beings as ministering servants!
The Greek meaning of that word “minister” is “diakonia” which means attendance (as a servant), that means, they are at your service, as waiters wait on their guests and servants on their masters just to get orders, so do angels wait on us to get orders! Wow, thank you Father!
Donât you realize the power at your disposal? Just one angel destroyed 185,000 Assyrian soldiers who came against God’s children (2Kgs 19:35).
Friends, don’t go about helpless and vulnerable. You have invisible company that excel in strength around you and willing to minister to you. Meditate on this truth until it takes over your subconscious mind. Believe it, recognize and engage them.
Prayer Points:
1. Father, thank you for the honour You have bestowed on me in Christ to have angels as my ministering servants.
2. Father, help me to always be more conscious of the mighty angelic presence around me than the enemiesâ threats around me in Jesus name.
Today’s declarations
1. I am not helpless nor vulnerable, for angels are on assignment over me.
2. Mighty angels are waiting on me and I donât make them redundant but I regularly engage them for my benefits.
