“that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,”

I once read about how a British king responded when everyone stood as he entered the room. As the king said, “Please take your seats, gentlemen. I’m not the Lord, you know”, one of his subjects replied, “No, Your Highness.” He went further, “If you were, we would have dropped to our knees!”
When the scripture says, in (Philip 2:10), “that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,” ‭‭it is not referring to voluntary respect which someone shows to a dignitary but a compelling submission to the supremacy of the name of Jesus.
The conjunction, ‘that’, which was used in the quote, expresses the purpose for which He was given that exalted name. God has determined that all creation should submit to Him, whether living or non-living and in the three territories, that is, heavenly, earthly, or underneath the earth.
There are powers that rule in the three territories. The heavenly here does not mean where God dwells but the realms of the sky. Satan is called ‘the prince of the power of the air’ (Eph 2:2). An example of a satanic principality that rules in the air is the prince of Persia, the territorial spirit over the Persian kingdom (Dan 10:13). Territorial spirits are fallen angels who have authority and influence over a certain territory. They are the principalities that influence the political lives of nations and cities.
Satan is also called ‘the god of this world’ and ‘the ruler of this world’ (2 Cor 4:4; John 16:11). They are the powers that influence the thoughts and feelings of humans and can lead them to commit destructive deeds. They are the rulers of darkness that promote false religions and occult practices and control people through deception, like the spirit of sorcery (Acts 13:6-8).
They are also the authorities, that is, the forces of evil that attack believers, like the Leviathan, the spirits that rule from the waters and are always uncomfortable on the land (Psa 74:13-14; Matt 12:43; Mark 5:13).
Friends, the authority in the name of Jesus transcends territories. Through the name of Jesus, you can exercise authority over all demons in satan’s hierarchical levels and in the three territorial realms. Hallelujah!

Prayer points
1. Father, thank You for giving me power through the name of Jesus over all the demons in satan’s hierarchy and over the three territorial realms.
2. I dethrone every power assigned over my territory to monitor my progress in Jesus’ name.

Today’s declarations
1. Through the name of Jesus, I have authority over satan and his demons in the hierarchical system.
2. Through the name of Jesus, I control the powers in the different territories.
