Text: Acts 13:6-13

”And now, indeed, the hand of the Lord is upon you, and you shall be blind, not seeing the sun for a time.” And immediately a dark mist fell on him, and he went around seeking someone to lead him by the hand.“

It’s important that you are established in the truth that authority belongs to you. Today, let’s review some of the things we have discussed in the past few days.
1. Having been saved, God has qualified you to be a sharer of the inheritance that belongs to God’s people. You are no longer a stranger. The greatest inheritance is eternity in heaven (Col 1:12; 1 Pet 1: 4).
2. You have been delivered from the power, control, dominion, authority or influence of darkness, that is, satan. You are now in another kingdom, whose king is the Lord Jesus (Col 1:13; Matt 11:29).
3. Satan has been defeated for you. Through His death, burial and resurrection, Jesus defeated satan and finally stripped him of his stolen and sham authority. He recovered the authority and gave you (Col 2:15; Matt 28:18).
4. You were raised together with Christ and seated together in the heavenly place with Him. The right hand of God is the place of the highest authority in the universe. Jesus is sharing His authority with you (Eph 2:6; Heb 12:2).
5. You are far above satan and his demons in authority. Jesus is raised high above satan, all his cohorts and every name, both now and in the future. You are seated with Jesus far above satan and his demons (Eph 1:21; 6:12).
6. Satan and his cohorts are under your feet, since they are under the feet of Jesus. You are a member of the body of Christ, that is, the church and Jesus is the head of the church. The devil is subject to you (Eph 1:22; 1 Cor 12:12)
7. You have authority to tread on and trample under foot, satan and all his powers. You have complete victory over them and you have immunity against all their counter attacks (Psa 91:13; Luke 10:19).
8. You are protected against all the evils in the world. You shouldn’t be afraid of the darkness of spiritual death and evils in the world. Rather, focus on the victory that you have in Christ (Psa 23:4; Isa 60:2).
9. You are called to rule over the devil and to reign over situations and circumstances. Jesus has taken back the charge of the earth from satan and handed over to you. You are a king and you now have authority to reign on earth (Rom 5:17; Ecc 8:4).

1. Father, thank You for qualifying me to share in the inheritance of eternity in heaven, reserved for God’s people, in Jesus’ name.
2. Father, thank You for sharing with me the authority of Christ and for giving me complete victory over satan, in Jesus’ name.

1. I am seated with Christ at the right hand of the throne of God far above satan and his demons.
2. I have legal authority over satan and all his powers and they must obey me.
