MOUNTAIN LEVELLER

MOUNTAIN LEVELLER

Text: Zechariah 4:6-7
Memory verse
“Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone With shouts of “Grace, grace to it!” Zechariah‬ ‭4‬:‭7‬
‭‭
Whatever stands as an impossibility, a stronghold or a barrier in your life is a mountain. It can be marital, financial, academic, health or security mountain.
In our text today, God commanded the Jews to rebuild the destroyed temple. Thus, with the weak and poor returnee, Zerubbabel feared if the temple would ever be completed. And even if completed, would it ever be near the former temple in glory? Therefore, he became discouraged because he thought he had no financial resources to work with or financial might to complete the temple. More also, the Jews had more enemies working against the rebuilding than friends. Hence, rebuilding project stood as an impossibility and immovable mountain before him.
In the midst of this fear, the word of the Lord came to him saying, “Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone With shouts of “Grace, grace to it!” (Zech‬ ‭4‬:‭7).
God was saying that Zerubbabel will surmount this mountain with the power of grace. Yes, the people completed the project within the same year against all opposition as God suddenly moved the heart of king Darius in their favour, who provided all that was needed.
Friends, grace is a mountain leveller. It provokes God’s strange favour upon a person or a people. It brings the unstoppable hand of God down upon a situation of concern. You can engage the power of grace to level age long strongholds, evil family patterns, established limitations and barriers and any mountain. No scheme of man or power of hell can stop the man of grace. Stand up and boldly speak to that mountain that you are here in the power of grace to tear it down and level it. Hallelujah!

Prayer points
1. Standing in the power of grace, let the mountain before me (mention them) be levelled now in Jesus name.
2. O you mountain, what are you waiting for? By the power of grace, be swallowed up now in Jesus name.

Today’s declarations
1. I invoke the strange favour of God into my affairs when I confront my challenge with grace.
2. Grace makes me a mountain leveller, barrier breaker and a wonder to my world.
