Text: 2 Kings 8:1-6
Memory verse:
“Why then do you harden your hearts as the Egyptians and Pharaoh hardened their hearts? When He did mighty things among them, did they not let the people go, that they might depart?” I Samuel 6:6
Restoration is getting back that which was lost, stolen or removed and bringing into a former position or placing in a better position than the former sate. There are many examples of restoration in the Bible. For example, the restoration of the lost glory of Israel. The ‘Ichabod,’, which means, the departed glory, was restored when the Philistines eventually returned the ark (1 Sam 4:21; 1 Sam 6). The ark represented the presence and power of God. I earnestly pray for the restoration of God’s glory and presence to everyone who has lost them in Jesus name.
God also restored position, job and authority. The chief butler to king Pharaoh was restored to his former position ( Gen 41:9-13). To someone who is reading this devotional, I don’t know how, but I see your position and authority restored within this month.
In our text today, the Shunamite woman who was advised to depart from the land of Israel, returned after the seven years to find out that her house and land had been stolen. So, she went to the house of the king to make her petition. And by divine arrangement, she met Gehazi there. The woman came to make her request at the exact time Gehazi was telling the king the miracles associated with her life. What a God-ordained timing! As the Sovereign God, He can direct your steps to cross the path of your destiny helpers. Watch out for strange connections within this second half of the year.
Also, the woman’s request was for her house and her land but she got more than she asked for. The king commanded that all the proceeds of her land during the period of the seven years be restored to her! (2 Kings 8:6).
When God restores, He gives you more than enough (Eph 3:20).
Friends, there is restoration associated with the number seven. “At the end of every seven years you shall grant a release of debts.” (Deut 15:1)
The famine was for seven years, the woman returned after seven years and seven years proceeds were paid . May you enjoy all-round restoration in July in Jesus name.
Prayer points
1. Father, please, connect me with my destiny helpers and restore Your glory in my life in Jesus name.

2.The number seven always ended the season of famine, so July, the seventh month is ending famine, lack and the likes in my life in Jesus name.
