Text: Hebrews 6:17-18
Memory verse:
“No, I will not break my covenant; I will not take back a single word I said.”
Psalms 89:34 NLT
A boss may fire you in anger, but a father corrects and never disowns.
That’s the difference between mood and covenant. Mood is temporary, but covenant is binding; Mood reacts, but covenant commits. God does not relate by moods but by covenant.
God doesn’t govern relationships by emotions but by covenant. (2 Tim 2:13).
Now, because God relates by covenant, your worst day does not cancel your standing, and failure does not end your relationship. Yet, God disciplines as covenant correction. Mood punishes and withdraws, but covenant disciplines and stays. If God related by moods, Israel, David, and Peter would have been rejected and discarded, but covenant prevailed. “If we are faithless, He remains faithful…”
Heaven operates on covenant, not emotions. When Jesus lifted the cup and said, ‘This is the new covenant in My blood,’ (Luke 22:20). He now relates with you on agreement, not impulse.
Communion reminds heaven, hell, and your own soul that a covenant has been established, blood has been shed, and redemption has been paid for. Hallelujah! So, whenever you partake in the Communion, you renew covenant consciousness.
Covenant creates legal standing in the spirit realm, but outside it, you are not recognized. It makes you a legal sharer, not a stranger. Covenant does not adjust to circumstances, but circumstances adjust to covenant. Covenant is heaven’s override system. While economic systems rise and fall, covenant remains solvent, and when resources fail, covenant supplies. God’s covenant is not funded by the economy of men (Psa 37:19).
Political power may shift from one region to another, but covenant authority is permanent. Thrones change, covenant stands. God’s covenant is never up for election (Dan 2:21). Policies can change overnight, but covenant cannot. No policy can veto a blood-sealed promise. Covenant commands weather and storms obey covenant boundaries.
Friends, the cross outranks and overrides every system. The resurrection is God’s guarantee that covenant can not fail and the blood of Jesus is heaven’s final authority. The Communion is a reminder that what God seals by blood can not be canceled by anything. Covenant is weatherproof, policy-proof, and economy-proof. Hallelujah!
Prayer points
1. Father, I thank You that Holy Communion is our covenant reminder and that Your relationship with me is covenant-based, not emotion-based, in Jesus’ name.
2. Living Lamb of God, please, enforce in my life what You sealed by Your blood; as I partake of communion, let covenant mercy speak louder than my failures, in Jesus’ name.
Today’s declarations
1. I am in a covenant relationship with God through the blood of Jesus; God does not relate with me by moods, but by covenant.
2. The cup reminds me that God’s commitment to me is unchanging; Covenant supersedes my circumstances and overrides economy, politics, policies, and climate.
