POWER OF THE HOLY COMMUNION (5)

POWER OF THE HOLY COMMUNION (5)

Text: Hebrews 9:11-15
Memory verse:
“He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1‬:‭13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

A signed check doesn’t change your life until it is cashed. Calvary signed the check, but Communion is how we cash it. When we come to the Lord’s table, we are not observing a ritual, but we are presenting a covenant token that enforces freedom.
With every warning, Pharaoh resisted Israel’s release from Egypt and repeatedly hardened his heart. However, after the Israelites ate the Passover meal, the narrative changed. The same Pharaoh immediately called the Israelites to leave. He said, “… “Rise, go out from among my people, both you and the children of Israel. ….” ‭‭(Exo‬ 12‬:‭31).
The stubborn king became desperate, and the oppressor became the releaser. The covenant meal preceded physical deliverance. The Passover meal cracked Pharaoh’s stubborn resistance. Likewise, Communion today enforces Christ’s victory at the cross (John 19:30; Col 1:13). It enforces our freedom from bondage. It breaks stubborn spiritual resistance, ends every long-standing oppression, releases from captivity, and provokes divine intervention.
Also, Communion reminds us that we live under divine covering. The blood on the door posts and the lintels of their houses was not for decoration but a spiritual mark of ownership and protection (Exo 12:7). Where the blood was applied, judgment could not enter, and destruction could not touch them (Exo 12:12-13). Though they were in the same environment of judgment: in Egypt, and in the same night of destruction but the outcomes were completely different. Why? The blood made the difference. The first Passover saved Israel from death for one night but Jesus’ Passover saves believers from death forever; and able to protect from physical destruction and eternal judgement (John 3:18: Rom 5:9: Gal 6:17). We may be in the same environment, yet the blood can make a difference such that destruction doesn’t come near us.
Friends, the cross signed the verdict of your freedom, Communion enforces the release. Communion is the covenant act that brings heaven’s deliverance into today’s reality. The first Passover broke Pharaoh’s hold, but Communion breaks every modern Egypt. The Communion is not just symbolic; it is strategic. It is heaven’s enforcement point and heaven’s legal action against bondage. Therefore, eat and drink your deliverance and protection by faith.

Prayer points
1. Father, as I partake in the Communion, I receive divine ability to walk out of every form of bondage; let stubborn resistance to my freedom be broken, in Jesus’ name.
2. I invoke the victory of the cross, and I end every stubborn oppression and change every ‘No’ to my freedom to ‘Yes’ now, in Jesus’ name.

Today’s declarations
1. As Israel ate before leaving Egypt, as I partake of the Communion, I also receive strength to step into my deliverance; what bound me before cannot bind me again.
2. By the blood of the New Covenant, I and my household are separated from danger, calamity, and evil; we are delivered, protected, and preserved.
