Text: Luke 18:1-8

”Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart,“

His postgraduate qualification didn’t change his condition as he remained jobless. Tired of the situation, this brother decided to seek the Lord through some days of intensive prayer and fasting. While on this personal retreat, he heard the Lord say to him, “You need a higher anointing to join with you”. So he prayed specifically for the Lord to send him such partner and whom he divinely met one day. So, through days of prayer and fasting, his partner joined him to destroy the yoke of stagnancy and to terminate the affliction. A few days after it, he miraculously secured an international job in Nigeria. Hallelujah!
Sharing his testimony on how he got the job, he said he didn’t understand how he was picked out of hundreds of more qualified applicants, until he met his boss and country rep, who told him how he got attracted to his resume when he saw the university he attended. He told this brother that he has a special attachment to this state because, as a small boy, he lived with his father while he worked as a missionary in the state. Thus, he determined that he would consider him for the post and which he did.
Our memory text today teaches us to always pray and never give up. ‭ In kingdom business, quitters go empty.
Are you troubled, suffering, afflicted, or hurting? Pray and don’t quit or be discouraged (Jam 4:13). When Jabez prayed, God rolled the reproach from his life and blessed him indeed. God still answers prayers today. Your testimony will also be heard soon. Hallelujah!
Friends, some problems don’t go unless prayer is accompanied by fasting (Matt 17:21). Fasting strengthens your prayer, like petrol splashes strengthen the burning wood. You don’t need a hammer to break a glass wall, but you will definitely require it with a concrete wall. Likewise, some yokes will not break unless you add fasting to your prayer of faith. ”Is this not the fast that I have chosen: .. And that you break every yoke?“ (‭‭Isa‬ ‭58‬:‭6‬).
Most believers don’t harness the power of spiritual agreement. Just as in the natural, the power of synergy is applied when two come together to pray (Deut 32:30). Jesus said, ““… If two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you.”. (Matt 18:19). Over the case that seems unyielding after several prayers, seek a partner to agree with you and to speak into it.
Don’t accept NO for an answer. God still controls all things, including man. Return to the place of prayer today.

1. I take authority over the spirit of discouragement and I cast it out from me, in Jesus’ name.
2. Father, please divinely connect me to my divine helpers in prayers, in Jesus’ name.
