PREVAILING POWER OF GOD’S WORD

PREVAILING POWER OF GOD’S WORD

Text: Psalms 147:15-20
Memory text:
“So the word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭19‬:‭20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

History is full of stories of men who placed their faith in charms, amulets, and magical objects for protection but only to be disappointed at the heat of battle, leading to their death.
While other powers bow down to superior powers and strategies, only the Word of God prevails absolutely. The Word of God is God Himself. It carries everything about God. God does not lose in any battle, and so does the Word. As God does not turn back in battle, nor does He come back empty, so is His Word ( Isa 55:10-11). It is eternal, incorruptible, unshakable, and triumphant.
The Word of God prevails over time. It is often said that no victory is permanent, but the Word of God remains constant in victory. It does not depreciate or lose strength, even with the changing times. It’s often said that, “Time will tell’, to mean that time will eventually prevail. No, times and seasons will change, but the Word won’t (Luke 16:17). Human philosophies and ideologies rise and fall, and cultures and scientific discoveries shift, but the Word of God remains unchanged and victorious. Trending things or fashion today become obsolete with time, but the Word stands sure and incorruptible through generations. “Flowers and grass fade away, but what our God has said will never change” (Isa 40:8 CEV).
The Word of God prevails over death.
Death comes for and prevails over every person, every kingdom, and everything except Jesus, who is the Word. He overcame death, proving His power over the grave, when He resurrected from death. ““O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?”” ‭‭(I Cor‬ ‭15‬:‭55‬). Through His Word, all those who believe in Him can also command victory over death. Whenever we engage the Word in faith, we release the Spirit of Jesus to swallow up the threatening spirit of death.
The Word of God prevails over darkness and its power. Darkness represents satan, his kingdom, and all its works, including sin, sickness, and poverty. Darkness disappears instantly as soon as light shows up. The Word of God is light (John 1:4). The power of darkness can’t overcome, overpower, extinguish, or put out the Light of the Word. They simply submit to the Word. “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has never put it out” (John 1:5 GNT).
Friends, let the Word grow in you, and the prevailing power of God in your life will be a daily experience.

Prayer points
1. Father, let the prevailing power of Your Word be my daily experience as I also grow in the Word, in Jesus’ name.
2. Let the power and works of darkness bow to the Word of God in my life, in Jesus’ name.

Today’s declarations
1. Delay is not denial for me because God’s Word concerning me will surely come to pass.
2. I experience the prevailing power of God’s Word as I grow in the Word.
