Text: 2 Corinthians 12:7-10
Memory verse:
“Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God,”
II Corinthians 3:5
Before the onset of the fast-paced digital photography, darkroom was used in the traditional processing and printing of films. Although the darkroom technology has gone into a backseat, yet it is still present in some professional photo studios and photography schools. It is called a darkroom because light is kept completely from penetrating into it. The technology involves blocking all openings, gaps or cracks that could let in light rays.
Openings, gaps and cracks are the imperfections in our lives. They are the inadequacies and the insufficiencies . None of us, even the best us, can claim the state of perfection or sufficiency before God. The great apostle Paul openly attested to his insufficiency without Christ. (2 Cor 3:5; Phil 3:12).
Most often, God gives us dreams or assignments that are bigger than us, so we may depend on Him to complete the gap. There are always odds that make the assignment unachievable but God supplies these deficiencies. For example, Moses saw his stammering and low status as odds against his call to stand before Pharaoh. Jeremiah opined that his young age made him incompetent to be a prophet. For Paul, he thought his past could be a problem to being used of God. Yes, just like us, these inadequacies were undeniable facts but God supplied what was lacking, through His grace. God’s grace covers our inadequacies and the gaps so we can fulfill our life mandate and carry out our divine assignments. Grace helps our human weaknesses and completes our imperfections. Grace strengthens us to do what we can’t do ordinarily. “And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”
(II Cor 12:9)
Friends, ask for grace to strengthen you in that weakness and to fulfill your life mandate.
Prayer points
1.Father, please, let your grace strengthen me in my weaknesses ( mention them) in Jesus name.
2.Father, please, enable me by Your grace to fulfill my life mandate in Jesus name.
Today’s declarations

2.In myself I am incapable but with grace I am capable.
