Text: Ecclesiastes 8:2-5
Memory verse:
“Where the word of a king is, there is power; And who may say to him, “What are you doing?””
Ecclesiastes 8:4
Friends, do you know that we are called to reign in this present life? Many folks still believe that we are waiting to reign in heaven. Yes we are, but we begin by reigning as kings here on earth. Our Lord Jesus, in the days of His flesh, reigned here on earth as a king. Though throneless, yet He demonstrated the qualities of kingship, as described by king Solomon. “Where the word of a king is, there is power; ..” Ecc 8:4.
That is, whatever the king said was law; his words were backed up with power and they prevailed; he was the last authority. While here physically, Jesus had authority over diseases, afflictions, lack, devils, nature, even death. Now, He has been raised up and exalted to the right hand of the throne of God, which is the center of the power of the whole universe. You see, according to Ephesians 2:5-6, we were jointly quickened, raised and seated with Christ in that center of power in the heavenly places. Also, since Christ is the Head and we are His Body, it means, both the Head, the Body and the individual members, were raised together. We share not only His throne but His authority. Though, we are here physically, but we are positionally seated at the right hand of the Majesty on High and things have been put under our feet. He enthroned us to reign as kings in life(Rom 5:17 AMPC). Now, we are joined with Christ in one spirit and conferred with the authority to reign as kings on earth, just as He did in His days. Hallelujah!
