What are the benefits of living a sanctified life?
Firstly, you become qualified to receive His anointing. Holiness attracts God’s power, but unholiness shuts you out of it. ”You love righteousness and hate wickedness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.“ ‭‭(Psa‬ ‭45‬:‭7‬). Are you already anointed and need a new and higher level of the anointing? Choose sanctification above all things today.
Secondly, God only uses clean vessels. You see, not all God’s children want to live separate from the world. Some still want to enjoy the pleasure of the world. God doesn’t use such people.. “Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work ‭‭(II Tim‬ ‭2‬:‭21‬). As a young girl, when Esther separated herself from the common lifestyle of girls in her time, God chose her to use for the deliverance of His people. What about Joseph? When he decided to live a holy life instead of committing sin with Potiphar’s wife, God used him mightily to preserve his family and the nation of Egypt! What about Mary who was chosen to birth the Saviour of the world? Do you desire to be used by God? Choose to sanctify yourself today.
Thirdly, sanctification guarantees answered prayers. God doesn’t associate with sin, nor does He hear the prayers of sinners. ”If I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear.“ ‭‭(Psa‬ ‭66‬:‭18‬). Rather, He delights in the prayer of the righteous. Do you desire to be heard when you pray? Then, choose to live holy today, and your prayer will no longer be rejected nor enter the voice mail!
Next, a life of sanctification guarantees a glorious and enviable future. How many colourful destines have been shattered through uncontrolled, lustful, and sinful lives! They were born great, but they died ordinary! Some destines were just wasted! Remember how covetousness ruined Achan and Judas Iscariot and how fornication turned the anointed Samson, a deliverer into a grinder!
Friends, sanctification has great benefits both for now and for eternity. Give yourself to it. Don’t blend or bend, but dare to stand out!
