SAVED TO SERVE 6

SAVED TO SERVE 6

Text: Matthew 24:45-51
Memory verse:
ā€If they obey and serve Him, They shall spend their days in prosperity, And their years in pleasures.ā€œ
Jeremiah 36:11 NKJV

Do you know that your time countdown begins as soon as you are born?Ā  No one can tell you how much time you have left, and itā€™s not an endless time. Although your age increases with every new day but in real fact, it reduces the number, as in reducing balance basis. Thus, David prayed, ā€So teach us to number our days, That we may gain a heart of wisdom.ā€œ (ā€ā€Psa 90ā€¬:ā€12ā€¬).
I believe that time is one of the greatest resources that God has given us. Time can be converted to money. Time is so precious that itā€™s used as currency, traded for everything from airtime to school lessons.Ā  Also, unlike money or jobs, time lost is not renewable. You can gain new skills, buy another house, and make another money but not with time.
There are 86,400 seconds in each day. If these seconds are deposited in your bank account every day and with a condition that the money can not be carried over to the next day, what will you do? That means you will lose that huge amount at the end of the day if you donā€™t utilize the money. Would you wait and watch to see it cleared from your account , or will you invest it? Likewise, since your 86,400 seconds canā€™t accumulate for you to use the next day, will you waste it watching TV, chatting, playing games, viewing social media, and all unprofitable activities?
Donā€™t just spend your time but invest it, and the best way to do that is to spend it serving your Maker while time lasts. ā€Donā€™t let the excitement of youth cause you to forget your Creator. Honor Him in your youth before you grow old and say, ā€œLife is not pleasant anymore.ā€œ (ā€ā€Ecclā€¬ ā€12ā€¬:ā€1ā€¬ ā€NLTā€¬ā€¬). The world will pass away with all its investments. Only the investment you make in eternity will last forever.
Time is not just the most valuable asset, but it is an asset that you donā€™t really own. It is fleeting. We all have access to the same time, but we use it differently, and that accounts for the different results we have. Our text today shows two servants, the faithful servant who utilized his time well and the unfaithful who squandered his time, for he said, ā€ā€¦My master is delaying his coming,”
ā€ā€(Mattā€¬ ā€24ā€¬:ā€48ā€¬). How you use your time or misuse your time is the best prophet of your future ā€ā€(Jobā€¬ ā€36ā€¬:ā€11ā€¬).
Friends, donā€™t waste your time anymore, but wisely invest it from now.
