Text: Mark 5:22-36

“and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse.”

Another way in which the waster attacks its victim is to inflict with diseases that cause gradual deterioration of the individual’s health. The person loses strength and experiences progressive emaciation and weakness, in spite of the food consumption. It’s also called wasting disease. Wasting disease does not end the life of its victims quickly but it gradually reduces it, while it also impoverishes them.
According to our text today, this woman had a protracted issue of blood. This chronic condition had caused turmoil in her for twelve years. Her social life was affected in that she had to live a restricted and an isolated life, according to the requirements of Mosaic Law. She kept away from her family, friends and other people. You can imagine how that would have also affected her mental health. The thought of her condition would have preoccupied her mind all the time and that would have affected her self-esteem and self-worth. What about the rain of disappointments and the shattered hopes of recovering?
Above all, the issue swallowed up her finances in her desperation to get a solution to it. “She had suffered a great deal from many doctors, and over the years she had spent everything she had to pay them, but she had gotten no better. In fact, she had gotten worse” (Mark 5:26 NLB). She consulted different physicians from year to year, used different medications and tried various therapies. The doctors would have recommended different medications and therapies as she moved from one hospital to the other. You can just imagine how frustrating and wasteful to be told that your medical test result has expired and you will have to conduct another! What about the pain she endured with some of the tests and the side effects of all the medications! Having exhausted her savings, she would have sold all assets to raise money for these medical expenses. Yet, rather than getting better, she got worse. What a waste!
Is your health condition gradually deteriorating and you are getting weaker and losing weight year by year despite all the medical attention you are receiving? Are you being impoverished by your condition? You need to do the thing that this woman did. She ran to Jesus, the perfect healer, for help. As soon as she touched His garment, the power of God moved out to put an end to the ravages of the wasters in her body. Stretch out your faith now to touch the unchanging deliverer and healer. The wasters will not waste your life. I decree a permanent end to the works of the wasters in your life, health and finances now in Jesus name.

Prayer points
1. Father, please, release Your anointing to permanently terminate the works of the wasters in my life, health and finances in Jesus name.
2. Father, please, let gradual deterioration of my health be reversed and let my health begin to spring forth speedily in Jesus name.

Today’s declarations
1. The wasters cannot devour my health because I am constantly connected by faith to the power source that stops its operations.
2. I have been redeemed from the power of the wasters and all wasting afflictions.
