Text: Genesis 3:14-15
“And I will put enmity between you and the woman, And between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel.”
God is the greatest strategist and can never be caught unawares. Immediately, after the fall of man, God announced His restoration plan for man in the first Bible prophecy as seen in our memory verse of today. Jesus is the Son of God who at the fullness of time was born of a woman (Gal 4:4). Also, the phrase, “her seed” in Genesis 3:15 is a prophecy about the virgin birth, which doesn’t require the seed of man.
The sentence that, “He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel” means both sides, that is, Jesus and satan would suffer hurts. However, Jesus will cause a permanent head damage to the serpent by crushing it’s head while satan will cause a temporary heel damage for Jesus, that is, temporary setback. This wound on the heel is partial and curable. He suffered, crucified and was buried but on the third day, He rose up triumphantly. Jesus crushed the head of satan to destroy its vitality and make it incurable. Whatever setback you may be having today, know that it is temporal and that you have permanent victory over satan, through Jesus. Your heels may be wounded temporarily but his head has been crushed permanently! Your setback has been redeemed but his damage is irredeemable for ever. Your salvation began with the birth of Jesus and was concluded at the cross. This is what prophet Isaiah says, “unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given”. Jesus was born to be given! Salvation costed Jesus pain, grief and death but given freely and generously! It took God to speak to create the world but it took Jesus to bleed to redeem man. Thank you Jesus!
1. Father, thank You for permanently crushing the head of satan and giving me the victory in Jesus name
2. Father, let the setbacks in my life become setups for my comeback in Jesus name.
1. Jesus is the seed of the woman who purchased victory for me.
2. If a Child was not born, a Son wouldn’t be given! Thank You Father for Christmas.
