DAY 4 (EVENING SESSION)

 

SERMON

TOPIC:                      Unless You Bless Me

TEXT:                        Genesis 30:25 – 30

MESSAGE

Worship God tonight. Worship Adonai tonight, because He will visit your case tonight. Raise your hands and worship Him tonight. Give Him praise. Just worship Him. Thank Him because He will settle you tonight. Thank Him because tonight is your night of settlement. ‘I worship You because it is my night of settlement.’ Lift up your voice and pray. Worship Him. Say, ‘Thank You because it is my night of settlement.’ Lift up your voice and worship Him tonight. ‘Adonai, we worship You, because tonight is our night of settlement [speaks in tongues].’ Glory be to the name of the Lord. In Jesus mighty name we Worshipped.

Before you take your seats tonight, I want you to pray. While Daddy was speaking to us… that’s not actually my message for tonight… I heard it very clearly that these seven days meeting, God will settle somebody in the name of Jesus. The moment I heard that, some scriptures began to roll through my mind and that is what I want us to pray before you take your seat. I join my faith with your faith, in the name that is above every other name, the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, during the remaining 28 days of this year, God shall settle you. This year remains 28 days plus today, because today has not ended and so many glorious things can still happen to you. In the remaining 28 days, the Lord shall settle you.

In Ezekiel 36:11, the Word of the Lord says, ‘And I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall increase and bring fruit: and I will settle you after your old estates….’ The meaning of this is that whatever you are supposed to get before that you did not get or whatever you have before that the enemy has stolen, ‘I am giving you back.’ Tonight, you are going to pray, ‘My father, whatever I have lost from January to now, return it to me.’ The scripture says, ‘I will settle you according to your old estate,’ that is, whatever was denied you from January to December, He will settle you tonight. Pray, ‘Whatever has been taken from me from January of this year to this month, I receive settlement tonight.’ Ask for Divine settlement! ‘Lord, settle me tonight. Whatever has been taken from me from January to December, every opportunity that was denied me from the first month of the year till now, Father, settle me.’ In Jesus mighty name we prayed. Amen.

In the last verse of Ruth 3. (Like I told you, this is not my message but when Daddy was saying that whatever was negative will change to positive, I heard it clearly that this meeting is a time of settlement and these scriptures went through my mind). Ruth 3:18 – Naomi said to her, ‘Now be patient, Ruth, until you see how this all turns out. Boaz will not rest today until he settles the matter’ (GNT). Naomi said to Ruth as a mother-in-Israel, as a vessel of the Almighty God. Naomi was speaking under a prophetic unction. She was speaking under a heavy prophetic unction and said to Ruth, ‘My daughter, you don’t need to panic. I am speaking as a prophetess, under a prophetic anointing, that the man Boaz will not rest until he settles your matter tonight.’ Lift up your voice and pray, ‘In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, whosoever is connected to my settlement, will not rest again until they settle me. They will settle me this month, this year, in the name of Jesus.’ Thank you, Father. In Jesus Mighty name we prayed. Amen.

‘Father, we give you praise because you said this meeting is for divine settlement. Lord, please, settle all of us. Glory be to the name of the Lord. In Jesus mighty name we prayed.’

 

I count it a great privilege under God to be here with you tonight. I give God all the glory for making it possible for me to be here. To Him alone be all the glory. I want to thank our father-in-the-Lord, Daddy Olawuyi, for asking me to come. Thank you and God bless you, Sir. Don’t be jealous because he is from Ondo State, celebrate daddy.

The theme of this program is: I will not let you go unless you bless me and as I began to pray and wait on God to ask Him what He wants me to say on this first night, the Lord showed me a short drama from the history of Jacob. He showed me a short drama and pointed me to a particular issue out of the many issues in Genesis 30:25 – 30 (KJV).

25: And it came to pass, when Rachel had born Joseph, that Jacob said unto Laban, Send me away, that I may go unto mine own place, and to my own country.

26: Give me my wives and my children, for whom I have served thee, and let me go: for thou knowest my service which I have done thee.

27: And Laban said unto him, I pray thee, if I have found favour in thine eyes, tarry: for I have learned by experience that the LORD hath blessed me for thy sake.

28: And he said, Appoint me thy wages, and I will give it.

29: And he said unto him, Thou knowest how I have served thee, and how thy cattle was with me.

30: For it was little which thou hadst before I came, and it is now increased unto a multitude; and the LORD hath blessed thee since my coming: and now when shall I provide for mine own house also?

There are many issues here, beloved. I would have loved to talk about verse 27, but that’s not where God is sending me tonight. Maybe if there is time, we may pray about that tomorrow. I would have talked about the experience Laban was talking about but what God has told me here is a man that went to a particular house to hide his head for a few days. When the issue between Jacob and Esau happened, Rebecca called Jacob and said, ‘Go to my brother, Laban in Padanaram and stay there for a short period until the anger of your brother, Esau, has gone down.’ But unfortunately, when Jacob got to Laban, Laban began to deploy a lot of strategies when he learned that everything that he had expanded and increased because of Jacob. He began to deploy a lot of strategies to hold Jacob down. He began to delay Jacob. First, he deceived him that he is going to give him Rachael if he worked for seven years, however, after seven years, he gave him Leah. He also told Jacob that seven years is not much and that he should labour for another seven years for Rachael. He began to deploy a lot of strategies just to make sure that he delayed Jacob. He delayed that man there for about twenty years. Now, consider the statement of a man that laboured for twenty years in Gen. 30:25. He was still begging after twenty years. He said in verse 26, ‘Give me my wives and my children, for whom I have served thee, and let me go: for thou knowest my service which I have done thee.’ If you served me for what I am holding and I said, ‘If you can serve me for one year, I am going to give you this.’ After one year, I think that thing should be your own.

This is my opinion about this verse; you may not agree but those women are not yet Jacob’s wife. How can I tell somebody to give me my wife? How will I go to somebody and say, ‘Give me my wife and children that I have served you for?’ Another person was controlling the life of Jacob. Another person was dominating and controlling his destiny and that man placed a yoke of delay on Jacob and for a solid 20 years, Jacob was delayed in the house of Laban. Listen to me, for the short time we would be spending here tonight, we would be dealing with a yoke of delay. If you have ever heard this statement that delay is dangerous and you don’t believe it… let me tell you tonight that when a man is being delayed, a lot of evil things can happen in the life of that man. Let me tell you few of those things that might happen to a man that is being delayed.

One of the reasons to deal with delay is that when a man is delayed, if care is not taken, he would begin to seek ungodly alternatives. This applies to a child of God, not unbelievers alone. If a child of God is delayed more than necessary, he has the tendency to look for alternatives. Pastor, what do you mean? What I mean is in Genesis 16. In Genesis 16, Abraham and Sarah were delayed. Sarah told Abraham and said, ‘My husband, sleep with my maid’ and without any question, Abraham entered and slept with the maid. Ungodly alternative. Ishmael was not the will of God for Abraham, it was an ungodly alternative. Mummy and Daddy, pray. Pray for yourselves and your children. A lot of ladies married wrongly because they were delayed. They just went ahead, married anybody and they are living with the consequences today. So, when you hear that delay is dangerous, one of the dangers is that it can lead you to ungodly alternatives.

Secondly, when you hear that delay is dangerous, this is because delay can make a person take wrong decisions. In the book of 1 Samuel 13 from verse 8, Israel was faced with the Philistines and wanted to destroy them. They were drawing near to battle; there was need for sacrifice to be offered and Samuel was the one to offer the sacrifice. Within 7 days which he had to come, the Bible says they tarried for seven days but Samuel delayed to come in the number of days that was appointed, so the people began to scatter. Some began to shake and tremble; people were running and hiding and King Saul said, if Samuel refused to come and everybody is scattering, what can I do? He said, ‘And I pushed myself to offer the sacrifice.’ As he was rendering the sacrifice, Samuel came and said, ‘You behaved foolishly. Today, your Kingdom would have been established but no way.’ The reason was because of delay. Saul took a wrong decision because Samuel delayed to come. He was impatient and could not wait. Delay is dangerous. In 1 Thess. 2:18, Paul said, ‘Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us.’ Because Satan hindered him, he had to write a letter to them. Paul gave up on that journey because Satan delayed him.

Thirdly, listen to me, delay can make a man to give up.

This would shock you today. In Matthew 5 – the story of the ten virgins. They were virgins, Christians, pure. They were waiting for the coming of the bridegroom but because the bridegroom delayed, some of them, five of them, their oil finished. Listen to me: I have seen people who ran out of anointing because of delay. I have seen people who prayed and prayed because their expectations didn’t manifest on time. The grace of God upon their lives, the oil of God upon their lives began to go down because of delay, gradually. The oil began to drain, because they were delayed.

One more. Rachael, in Gen. 30 was delayed. If you read the story of Rachael, especially in that Genesis 30, her delay was doubled. She had double delay. The first was that, Jacob saw her and said, ‘I like you, I want to marry you’ and the father said, ‘You will marry her in seven years. I will give her to you in seven years. I will release her to you.’ Don’t forget that Rachael was already rejoicing, believing that she was going to marry Jacob. She was counting down: ‘It remains 6 years, 5 years… 2 years, 1 years… 1 month… 1 day…’ but on that very day, Laban called Rachael. He said, ‘Come here, bring that your wedding gown.’ ‘Daddy, what do you want to do with my wedding gown?’ She brought it and Laban said, ‘Leah, come, test this garment.’ She tested it. She said, ‘Daddy, it’s my size.’ Then Laban said, ‘Rachael, go and sit down, your sister is the one we are giving in marriage.’ There was nothing Rachael could do. Her father told her, ‘You will wait for another seven years.’ I speak in the name above every other names – the name of Jesus, ‘Every principality delaying your day of testimony, prolonging your day of joy, they shall be buried in the name of Jesus.’ Laban told Rachael, ‘You will wait. You are not marrying tomorrow again. You are not going anywhere, you have to wait.’ Rachael must have told all her friends, ‘I am getting married tomorrow, come and rejoice with me.’ However, on the following day, the story changed because there is a principality.

The final part I am going to talk about and we will begin to pray is what we have to deal with. One of the things we have to deal with is that there are some principalities. (Don’t forget, I jumped here from talking about why delay is dangerous.) There are some principalities that stand on people’s case, say, ‘Over their dead body’ and begin to exercise the power of delay. Laban was so powerful. He was that strong principality that said to Racheal that her wedding is in the next 7 years, not in the next month, year or three years. I pray for you, every power attacking your destiny, tonight, they shall be buried.

Laban looked at Rachael and told her her joy that was supposed to come tomorrow has been extended to 7 years. Rachael must have been crying, yet Laban left her. Rachael could be thinking whether her father would change his mind and she would get married next month or in the next three months, next year, three years but it was complete seven years. There are principalities and we are going to pray tonight.

If you are a good student of the Bible, you would think that after Saul died, David would become King but no, David didn’t become king. The Bible says, there was a man in the house of Saul called Abner. When Saul died, the Bible says, ‘Abner made himself strong for the house of Saul.’ He said, ‘I won’t be alive and make David king.’ After Saul was dead, David was to ascend the throne but a principality delayed him and said, ‘David will not ascend this throne’. It was like a joke but listen to me, until Abner was removed from the surface of the earth, David didn’t ascend the throne. ‘I don’t know who need to go for you to ascend the throne, in the name of Jesus, they shall be forcefully removed.’ Everyone that is sitting on that throne… when the Bible I read says, ‘God restores and removes Kings’… everyone that needs to be removed for you to ascend your throne, tonight, in the name that is above every other name, the name of Jesus Christ, they shall be removed. Abner lost his life because he said, ‘Not while I am alive would David ascend the throne.’ He said it and it was so.

We are dealing with principalities but what I was saying before jumping into that was that the delay of Rachael was doubled. She was delayed in marriage and also in childbearing. Tonight, every power on assignment to multiply your affliction, we command them buried in the name of Jesus. No wonder, Rachael was a bitter woman – a very toxic woman. If you read Genesis 30, you would discover she was very toxic. She would fight with her husband, her sister, fight with anybody. She never enjoyed her life. Even the day she breathed her last, she didn’t enjoy her life. The midwives were begging her on the day she died. They said, ‘Don’t die, you will have a man child’ but she said, ‘Of what use?’ because she lived her life in bitterness due to the delay she suffered. Tonight, I say, ‘The yoke of delay shall be broken in the name of Jesus.’

I told you things that can cause delay: some principalities are there, giving the examples of Laban and Abner but another thing is that there are people whom delay is in their ancestry, that is, there is delay in their bloodline. If you check well, you would observe that there are people whose father never got married until his 50s. There are people whose fathers already have grandchildren before he could think of leaving a rented apartment. Abraham, in his own ancestry, suffered delay in childbirth. When they gave birth to Isaac, Isaac also got married at the age of 40 and for about 20 years, he was barren. Jacob got married to his beloved wife, Rachael and that one too was barren. There was barrenness in their ancestry and lineage. There are families with a history of delay. Another example: in Exodus 2:16 – 22, you will find a man there, a priest of Midian. He had seven daughters and all of them were ripe for marriage. A priest and there were seven girls in his house, none was ready to marry anyone of them. All of them was delayed until Moses entered their house and married one of them. Delay was roaming in that family; delay was in that ancestry. Listen to me, in the name that is above every other name, by the covenant of God on this altar, if there be any delay in your ancestry that is holding you down, under these seven days, the blood of Jesus removes it in Jesus Name. The blood of Jesus is stronger, more potent and powerful than the blood of your ancestry. I come by that blood that is stronger, more potent than the blood of your ancestry that any delay in your family affecting your life, tonight in the name of Jesus, by the power in the blood of Jesus, that delay is broken now. That is the second thing we have to deal with before we leave here. You will search your family and figure out the delay.

Abraham got delayed before having a child. Isaac experienced the same thing. Jacob also experienced the same thing but at the turn of Joseph, he interpreted a dream for Pharaoh and on that spot, they gave him a wife. In the next nine months, he had a baby. The wife that his father suffered fourteen years to marry but when it came to the turn of Joseph, for few minutes, he interpreted a dream and they gave him a wife for free. When it came to Joseph, the curse was broken. What his father suffered fourteen years for… his father laboured to marry his mother. I am a local boy and I know what hardwork is. Fourteen years of labour but Joseph just stood, in the palace, interpreted a dream for a few minutes and what his father laboured for was given to him in minutes. I pray to you, whatever your father laboured and suffered for, tonight, receive it freely in the name of Jesus.

Another thing that causes delay is Demonic Strategies. Enemy strategies. Wiles of the enemy. Laban delayed Jacob by using tactics. Seven years and another seven years, he began to dribble him. Do you know, there are some ladies who brothers would waste their time, deceiving and telling them that they are in courtship. For three, five years, they would be dating but at the end, the brother would marry another person after wasting her time. Tonight, every strategy the enemy is using to delay you that you don’t know… it could be a man deceiving you that he wants to marry you but he is just delaying you and wasting your time, blocking reasonable brothers from seeing you… tonight, that strategy will be exposed. After these seven days meeting, anybody using demonic strategies to tie you down, their strategy will fail. Amen.

Let me give you one more from John 18 and we will begin to pray. Remember, some principalities can cause delay. Delay runs in some ancestry while for some, the Devil uses strategies, but let’s look at this one. John 18:15 – 16: ‘And Simon Peter followed Jesus, and so did another disciple: that disciple was known unto the high priest, and went in with Jesus into the palace of the high priest. But Peter stood at the door without. Then went out that other disciple, which was known unto the high priest, and spake unto her that kept the door, and brought in Peter.’ Jesus was going to the palace of the high priest, Peter and another disciple (some authorities say it’s John) was following. They allowed Jesus and John to enter but stopped Peter outside. They shut the door against him until that disciple came outside and came to her that kept the door – the gatewoman. He came to the gatewoman and said, ‘Please open for Peter,’ because they know that disciple, that was why they opened the door for Peter. Listen to me, sometimes, doors are shut against some people to delay them – closed doors. They stand before a closed door for two years, five years, many years, just to delay them. Tonight, I come in the name of the Lord, any closed door that has been delaying your life and progress, that door is opened tonight in the name of Jesus. Stand on your feet, everybody. I want you to pray in the remaining few minutes and I want you to start like this:

Prayer Points

Daniel prayed for 21 days instead of 1 day. He was supposed to pray for one day because the answer came on the first day but a principality said, ‘No’ and the answer was delayed for 21 days until the principality was arrested. You are going to deploy the angel of God now. You will send the angel on errand. Say, ‘Any principality that is delaying my progress. Any principality that is delaying my answer. Any principality that is delaying the purpose of God for my life, be arrested tonight in the name of Jesus.

There is a story in the whole of Genesis 24 and in a portion there, this same Laban did not only delay Rachael, he wanted to delay Rebecca also. The same Laban. In the night before they sleep, the father of Rebecca and Laban, after eating, said to Eleazar, ‘Tomorrow morning, take Rebecca away to become the wife of your master’s son.’ The following morning however, Laban and the mother of Rebecca called Eleazar and said they won’t release the daughter again. But Eleazar remembered the covenant of God upon Abraham. He faced Laban and the mother of that girl and said, ‘Hinder me not, seeing that the Lord has prospered my way’ (v. 56).

You are going to pray now. Every principality that has been hindering me, today, lose your power in Jesus name.

You are going to lift your voice and pray. You yoke of delay in my ancestry, break by the power in the name of Jesus. By the blood of Jesus, I disconnect myself from you. Yoke of delay, spirit of delay, covenant of delay in my ancestry, go in the name of Jesus. By the blood of Jesus, go! Leave me alone! In Jesus Mighty name we prayed.

Every strategy of the enemy to delay me. Every strategy of the enemy to hold me where I am now, break, be exposed in the name of Jesus. My father, expose every secret of the enemy, every secret that the enemy is using, let it be exposed now in Jesus Name.

John 18:16 – John was already in the room with Jesus. This was a very terrible winter time. John has entered, Jesus has entered but Peter is still outside. Perhaps, John was already taking hot coffee or warming himself but Peter was shaking outside because there was a closed door but suddenly, the hand of God came upon John and he remembered there was somebody outside he needed to open the door for.

I pray for you, that man or woman that you need to open the door for you, before the end of these seven days, they will hear and open the door in Jesus Name. Where you want to get to, there is a man that is already there that can open that door for you. Pray that God will unsettle them. Naomi said to Ruth, ‘My daughter, the man will not settle until you are settled.’ Pray this one very well. Somebody was already inside to bring Peter inside. That place you want to enter, there is somebody already inside that needs to come to bring you in. Jesus had already taken John inside but Peter was inside. There is somebody that God has already taken inside that needs to come out to take you inside. Pray, ‘My father, whosoever is to open this door for me, my father and God, unsettle them.’

Thank you, Father. Begin to give Him praise. The Bible says, ‘And the hand of God was upon Elijah and he ran ahead of Ahab to the gate of Jezreel.’ I join my faith with your faith, ‘From now, your life receives a divine acceleration.’ The hand of God came upon an old man and he ran ahead of a chariot – Divine acceleration. For everyone under my voice who has suffered a delay, I join my faith with your faith and I pray, for you, there is a divine acceleration. Amen. Glory be to the name of the Lord. In Jesus Mighty name we prayed.
