Text: Mark 3:13-19

Soul winning is a kingdom business, where one uses kingdom principles to make profits for the kingdom. The repentance of one sinner causes great joy in heaven because it is regarded as a profit while the fall of one righteous is a loss to heaven. “Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” ‭‭(Luke‬ ‭15‬:‭10‬).
Our Lord Jesus calls His work the kingdom business. Its goal is to make spiritual profit, that is, winning of souls, and not financial profit (Luke‬ ‭2‬:‭49‬). He called the business the fishing of men, that is, fishing and rescuing men from the waters of destruction into the kingdom of God (Matt‬ ‭4‬:‭19‬).
Every sinner is regarded as lost, hopeless, and alienated from the life of God and waiting for the wrath of God. The death of a sinner is the greatest loss; an eternal loss, and that is the destiny of every unrepentant sinner ‭‭(Matt‬ ‭16‬:‭26‬).
Any business without proper planning will suffer failure. Kingdom business is not exempted. According to our text, Jesus spent time with His disciples to plan before sending them out. Winning of souls requires strategic planning. Set a goal for soul winning and map out your plans. Set high goals on the number of souls you want to win, but don’t let it be too high, lest it discourage you. If you rarely won any soul in the past, it may be too high for you to set a goal of winning a soul per day now. It may be proper to set a weekly target for such a case. Always pray and ask the Lord to lead you to someone in need of salvation: someone you can share the Word of God with and invite to church. Pray that God will convict by His Spirit and open such hearts to receive the word. Bind the devil and lose its grip on them.
Plan and schedule time for prayer, personal evangelism, and discipleship. What gets scheduled gets done. Allocate days and time for each activity and adhere to them. Choose your evangelism tools to use such as Bible, tracts, church invitation cards, banners, and so forth.
Friends, soul winning is a kingdom business for depopulating hell and populating heaven. Be strategic about kingdom business this year.
