Let’s continue to consider the common manifestations of demonic possession.
Next is a sudden change in personality. This usually affects both voice and appearance. A person who appeared so gentle and with a very soft voice a few minutes ago can suddenly act like a wild dog at the touch of the anointing or at the appearance of God’s glory. A shy person may become violent and aggressive. It also affects the character of the victim such that a person who was known to be very courteous may become so rude and mannerless. Sometimes, the victim may also manifest identity confusion, memory loss, and blackouts. The demon possessed man in our text couldn’t even remember his name. The demons answered for him, which means that the demons had taken over his sense of self and erased his personal identity. ““Then He asked him, “What is your name?” And he answered, saying, “My name is Legion; for we are many.”” ‭‭(Mark‬ ‭5‬:‭9‬).
He was also unaware of his condition until after his deliverance, but the demons had the supernatural knowledge of whom Jesus was.
The man was rid of the demons, got his mind back, and was healed of any physical wounds (Mark 5:15).
Another manifestation is physical afflictions. The demons attack the brain and the neurological systems and hamper the functioning of some vital organs connected to them. For example, the demon possessed mute man began to speak, and the demon possessed blind and mute began to speak and see immediately the demons were cast out (Matt 9:32-33; 12:22). Sometimes, the demons gradually waste away the possessed like in the case of the boy who was often thrown into water and fire, just to destroy him (Mark 9:22). In other cases, it may be self-inflicted physical injury, like the demoniac (Mark 5:5). In some cases, they inflict injuries on others.
Friends, Jesus doesn’t only heal but makes whole. Only Jesus can heal spiritually, mentally, and physically.

Prayer points
1. Father, please, heal me from every carryover of my past and make me whole, in Jesus’ name.
2. Father, let demons quake and flee because of Your presence and glory in me, in Jesus’ name.

Today’s declarations
1. Restoration takes place when the demons behind the affliction are cast out.
2. People are made whole when I cast out the demons behind their afflictions in the name of Jesus.
