Text: 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

“‭‭God is not a man, so He does not lie. He is not human, so He does not change his mind. Has He ever spoken and failed to act? Has He ever promised and not carried it through?” Numbers 29:19 (NLT)
If He said it, He will do it, He has the track record of keeping His words.
The word of God can never fail. Man can make promises in sincerity of heart but may not be able to fulfill it for various reasons. The man who promised to help might lose his life before the day he promised to fulfill his promise. The source of the man’s resources can dry up, or another calamity might happen to him, hence the inability to fulfill the promise he made in sincerity of heart.
Jeremiah 17:5 says, “Thus says the Lord: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart departs from the Lord.”
No matter what you are going through,God has promises for every situation of your life. You only need to claim the promises that are meant for your situation.
When you trust in the promises of God against all hopes, He will come through for you at the due season if you do not waver. Some Christians have made a shipwreck of their faith because they doubted the promises of God. Sarah doubted the promise of God for her and Abraham. Hence, she pushed him to have a child through her maid against the will of God. That singular act has caused the greatest untold hardship to mankind.
Believers should learn to trust in the fulfillment of God’s promises even if the fig tree does not blossom. There is a proverb that says ‘For you to know the kind of dress to expect from a person that promised to sew some clothes for you, check the one the person is wearing’.
Is the ONE that made the heaven and the earth not able to sustain it?
What are those promises that you think He can not fulfill in your life?
Never pass a vote of no confidence on God. Stand on His promises. You can not fall.

1. Father, please help me to learn to trust in You all the days of my life.
2. Help me to stand on Your promises every day of my life in Jesus’ name.
