THE DOUBLE CURE (PART 2)

THE DOUBLE CURE (PART 2)

Text: Psalm 103:1-5
Memory verse:
“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases,” Psalm ‭103‬:‭2‬-‭3‬

Do you know that your forgiveness and healing were accomplished concurrently and that the faith that saved you can also heal you? Jesus demonstrated it with the healing of the paralytic man (Matt 9:2 – 6). It is recorded that Jesus saw their faith, that is, the faith of the paralytic man and the people who brought him. Notice that, having forgiven him, he didn’t require any other faith from him to be able to heal him but the same faith by which he had been forgiven.
In our memory text, David mentioned forgiveness and healing as part of God’s benefits.
Also, in the redemption of Israel from slavery in Egypt, the blood was for their forgiveness, to turn the judgement of God away from them and the Passover meal was to provide vitality and health for the rigorous journey.
Your health has a positive correlation with your salvation. It is odd for you to be growing strong in the spirit and your health is not (3 John 1:2)
Did you notice that Paul didn’t say the cause of weakness, sickness and untimely death is not discerning the ‘blood’ but the ‘body’? (1 Cor 11:29). Many believers know well that Jesus shed His blood to purchase their forgiveness but do not yet know or understand that the same body that received the wounds and bruises for their sins was the same back that received stripes that healed them!
Friends, stop this ignorance today and by faith, begin to take what belongs to you from now. Know that you are healed and not that ‘you will be healed’. Irrespective of the symptoms, keep believing, confessing and working your belief and keep partaking in the communion. Your testimony is sure. Glory!

Prayer points
1. I refuse to walk in ignorance any more and I take back my health now in Jesus name.
2. My healing is settled and I refuse to doubt it or to accept ‘no’ for an answer in Jesus name.

Today’s declarations

1. I draw power from the holy communion when I discern, not only the blood but the body of the Lord.
2. The faith that saved me from sin is also able to heal me from sickness and diseases.
