The Position of Authority

The Position of Authority

Text: Ephesians 2:4-7
Memory verse:
“and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2‬:‭6‬

Sitting upon the throne is the symbol of authority, triumph and honour. Our Lord Jesus has been exalted to the highest place in the universe, which is at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty, where He is sitting.
“… when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,” (Heb‬ ‭1‬:‭3‬)
‭‭To get us out of our helpless and hopeless state under the dominion of satan, Jesus had to pay the price of redemption, that is death on the cross. It was a battle against satan and the host of hell who wanted to keep Him perpetually in death. However, He triumphed over death and resurrected, according to the working of God’s mighty power. God’s highest power was displayed when He raised Jesus from death and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places (Eph 1:19-20). Do you know that God raised you together with Christ and seated you also in the heavenly places? That’s your position now and not where you will be. ‬ “…and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,” (Eph 2:6). This is it. ‘He has made you sit’. It is not a future thing but a finished work. You hear people praying out of ignorance or religiosity that God will give us victory. No! You have joint victory with Jesus over satan. You have authority over satan and all his agents. You are far above Him and He is far below you. He who is above is above all! Hallelujah!
