Text: 2 Kings 7:1-7
Memory verse:
”Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound! They walk, O Lord, in the light of Your countenance.“
Psalms 89:15 NKJV
Every move of God is introduced by the rhythm of the Spirit, which is also called the sound of the Spirit. The ordinary man can’t understand the rhythm of the Spirit because it doesn’t sound familiar to him. It takes a spiritually alert person to hear the sound. Every sound has a message and so you understand what God is doing through the sound of the Spirit. With this spiritual intelligence, you receive the right spiritual strategy or tool to manipulate your spiritual atmosphere to your advantage. God is giving us a sound of victory and our tool is the shout of victory.
”Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound! They walk, O Lord, in the light of Your countenance.“
(Psa 89:15). The light of God’s countenance is God’s favour. When God’s face shines on you, His favour comes on you. It takes God’s favour to walk in supernatural victory. “By this, I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.” (Psa 41:11 KJV). When God’s favour is upon you or when you are well pleased by Him, your triumph becomes a wonder to the world and to your enemies. The Israelites also possessed their land by God’s favour (Psa 44:3). You see, your victory in life will depend on your ability to understand the rhythm or sound of the Spirit for each moment.
Every experience of your life is a product of the sound that you have heard at one time or the other. That’s why you must be sensitive enough to hear what sound the Spirit is giving, rather than hearing negative sounds. While God gives us the sound of victory, He causes the enemy to hear the sound of terror. The Syrians who had made a siege round Samaria with their armies, horses and chariots mysteriously abandoned all their belongings to flee from the Israelites when they heard the sound of fear. “for the Lord had caused the Arameans to hear the sound of chariots and horses and a great army, …” (2 Kings 7:6 NIV).
Friends, no more shall you hear the sound of defeat, shame, terror, or of sorrow, but the sound of victory. Your adversaries will hear the sound of terror and defeat. Beginning from June, you will walk in God’s high favour and supernatural victory in Jesus’ name. Amen and a loud hallelujah!
