THE STORMS OF LIFE 3

THE STORMS OF LIFE 3

Text: Isaiah 40:28-31
Memory verse:
“But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭50‬:‭20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Eagles have some inspiring qualities which has made them the most frequently used birds for national symbols across nations for centuries. Its image is engraved in national seals, flags, currency notes and monuments.
A unique quality of the eagle is its ability to ride on the storm to soar to a high altitude where other birds cannot reach. During a storm, while other birds are trying to flee or hide from the storm, the eagle will take off in the direction of the storm. It will, fearlessly fly into the fierce winds, using the storm current to rise higher. Rather than using its strength, like some other birds attempt to do, the eagle uses the pressure of the storm to glide in the storm. It stretches out its wings skillfully and confidently, while the violent stormy wind takes it higher and higher to a place of peace and safety. Most other birds, which attempt to fly against the wind perish in the process. The eagles ‘mount up with wings’ as described by prophet Isaiah. “But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.”
‭‭(Isa‬ ‭40‬:‭31‬). The NLT says they ‘will soar high on wings’.
Friends, don’t struggle against the raging storm because you won’t succeed. Don’t depend on the arm of flesh because you won’t prevail. Rather, rest on the Lord and fight the good fight of faith. Draw strength from your God through prayer. Let the storm drive you to your prayer closest rather than to the wrestling ring. When Jacob heard of Esau’s army coming against him, he withdrew to be alone with God (Gen 32:22-26).
The eagle doesn’t struggle but rests in the midst of the storm. This is a lesson of faith. You need the shield of faith to quench the fiery darts of the enemy (Eph 6:16). . It takes faith to still the storm. Faith is taking God at His word. Faith believes what God said, confesses what God said, acts on what God said, sees what God said before it ever happens and doesn’t give up on what God said, even in the midst of the threatening storm. Faith brings the world to its knees. “…The conquering power that brings the world to its knees is our faith.” (1 John 5:4 MSG).
Friends, the storm sent to stop you can be your aircraft to your place of destiny. That stumbling block can be your stepping stone. Don’t struggle with it but tap into the power of the Almighty to ride on it. The Almighty will use that same storm sent to stop you to fast track you to your place of destiny in Jesus name.

Prayer points
1. Father, please, help me never to rely on the arms of flesh in the midst of the raging storm in Jesus name.
2. Father, please, use the storm the enemy sent to stop me to fast track me to my place of destiny.

Today’s declarations
1. I mount with wings and soar on high like the eagles because I don’t rely on my strength but on the strength of the Almighty.
2. God is turning the evils my enemies meant for me for my good.
