THE WAR GOD WON IN SILENCE (6)

THE WAR GOD WON IN SILENCE (6)

Text: 1 Corinthians 2:6-8
Memory text:
“None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.” (1 Cor 2:8).

The death of Jesus Christ was a hidden strategy of God to disarm and defeat sin, death, and hell. Satan didn’t see the full plan.
On Friday, it looked like all was lost: Jesus was betrayed, beaten, and mocked. He was crucified, the sky grew dark, the veil tore, and He was buried. The disciples scattered, and the enemy whispered, “It’s finally over.” Hell jubilated. But on Sunday, heaven triumphed. Hell’s joy was turned to sorrow as Jesus resurrected. Satan saw his folly and knew that God had beaten him down flat. Unknown to him that God had already planned and secured the victory before the battle even began. The cross was not a defeat but a divine trap! He didn’t realize that the cross wasn’t the end but the turning point of history. He didn’t realize that death was the door to redemption, and the cross was the battlefield God chose to disarm hell itself ‭‭(Col‬ ‭2‬:‭15‬).
The burial looked like silent, but it was a countdown to victory. Saturday hosted the silent rehearsal for the Sunday victory celebration!
On Sunday, the grave broke open, and victory stepped out alive. Was God just reacting? No, He was strategically defeating sin, death, and satan from the inside out (Rom 4:25). God planned this victory before the foundations of the world. Satan planned the grave as a prison, but God planned it as a passageway. Hallelujah!
God warred and won in silence. He proved that the foolishness of God is wiser than the wisdom of men. He was silent as the enemy flexed his muscles, but every moment was intentional and the unfolding of His strategic plans. The cross was a setup. The grave was a decoy. The resurrection was the final blow. “…Death is swallowed up in victory.” ‭‭(1 Cor‬ ‭15‬:‭54).
Friends, through Jesus, God won the greatest battle in history for us in silence. He allowed the powers of darkness flex and then flattened them with His resurrection power. Darkness fell at noon, but light exploded on the third day. Satan and hell were beaten hands down.
Are you in a “Friday season” right now, where everything feels dark, painful, and unresolved or a “Saturday season”, of waiting, confusion, stillness? Your Sunday of resurrection, victory, and breakthrough is coming. Never judge your life by how Friday or Saturday feels, for resurrection is coming. It’s already scheduled. Hallelujah!
