Text: Psalms 107:17-20
Memory text:
““Is not My word like a fire?” says the Lord, “And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?” Jeremiah 23:29 NKJV
You need a breakthrough if you are experiencing regression, setbacks, or blockage in any area of your life, be it spiritual, physical, financial or marital. Breakthrough brings your years of struggles to an end, causing you to experience a sudden turnaround and a positive change. It turns your misery into miracles!
It happens when God steps into your case and causes His power to roll away mountains of difficulties, set you free from everything that has held you down over the years, opens the heavens that had been closed and cause a shift in your favour.
The Word of God is one of the most potent tool of breakthrough easily accessible to believers. His Word breaks through strongholds, barriers and any resistance. It is stronger than rockets, bombs, missiles and bullets. Every Word of His mouth is loaded with unlimited amounts of power to accomplish anything He has purposed (Jer 23:29).
The children of Israel went their own ways, got themselves into troubles, were afflicted, got sick, lost their appetite and were dying. In their troubles, they cried to the Lord and God responded by only sending His Word to them. His Word instantly ended the affliction, healed and delivered them. “He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.” (Psa 107:20).
Sarah laughed after God told Abraham that she will conceive and bear a son. Having struggled to have a child for so long, she had considered both of them too old to conceive (Gen 18:11-14). The angel assured that God’s Word had gone out and would surely perform His purpose, irrespective of the odds against it. “And the Lord visited Sarah as He had said, and the Lord did for Sarah as He had spoken. For Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.” (Gen 21:1-2). Do you know that no Word from the mouth of God is a mistake? Look at the three phrases repeatedly used in this scripture to lay emphasis on the Word of God. They are, “as He had said”, “as He had spoken” and “God had spoken to him”. The Word of God shattered the yoke of barrenness and delay. It carries the power of possibilities.
Friends, do you desire breakthrough in any area of your life? Develop skill and intelligence in engaging the Word, stand on it and declare it in faith.
