Text: 1 Peter 1:22-25

In the first place, life is needed to become a living soul, and secondly, life is necessary to preserve life. In both cases, the Holy Spirit gives life, but the Word of God is the instrument that the Holy Spirit uses.
“It is the Spirit Who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” ‭‭(John‬ ‭6‬:‭63).
The Word of God is the living seed that never dies. “having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever,”
‭‭(I Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭23‬). God who is living and immortal reproduces His life in man through His Word, which is living and eternal.
The Word of God carries the Life of God, and the Life of God is in the breath of God. God breathed into the dust-made man or the lifeless being to become a living being. “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.” ‭‭(Gen‬ ‭2‬:‭7‬). Every man is dead until the life of God is injected into him (Eph 2:1; Col 2:13; Eph 4:18).
God is still reproducing new life today through His Word; the word of truth.
“Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.”
‭‭(Jam 1‬:‭18).
Today, many people still think they can reproduce the life of God through another means. They use technology, motivation, psychology, tradition, academic knowledge, and so forth. They only try to dress a mannequin or a fashion model, that has no life in it. They are only decorating the dead people to look like the living. Through the preaching of the Word of truth, the seed of life is planted into the hearts of the hearers.
“In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,” ‭‭(Eph‬ ‭1‬:‭13‬).
Friends, the secret of spiritual fruitfulness is to continue to plant the seed of the Word. No matter how dead the situation is, if you keep engaging the Word of God, the Word will give it life.

Prayer points
1. Father, let Your life be reproduced, as I preach the Word, in Jesus’ name.
2. Let me never attempt to use any other means to reproduce the life of God in others, in Jesus’ name.

1. The Word of God is God’s channel to reproduce life.
2. Other channels will make men more hardened, but the Word will give life.
