WHEN DO MIRACLES HAPPEN?

WHEN DO MIRACLES HAPPEN?

Text: Mark 5:25-30
Memory verse:
“Give us help from trouble, For the help of man is useless.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭60‬:‭11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

We have seen in our past editions that, even though God has a time for everything, yet He can change times and seasons to intervene in any situation and to give us a miracle.
Most often, God performs miracles when man has reached his wit’s end. This is a place where no one else can help. According to our memory text, the help of man is useless. For vain is the help of man. The CEV puts it like this: “Help us defeat our enemies! No one else can rescue us.” ‭‭(Psalms‬ ‭60‬:‭11‬).
The situation of the woman with the issue of blood, whom Jesus healed is an example. There was no one else that could help her. “Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse.” (Mark‬ ‭5‬:‭25‬-‭26‬)‬‬. Have you done all you could do with no help at sight? Has your doctors told you that there is no other thing they can do? Your case may not even be medical.
Joseph had suffered so much abuse from his brothers and false accusation by Potiphar’s wife, which eventually landed him in the prison. While in prison, he interpreted the dreams of Pharaoh’s chief butler and chief baker. Being convinced of the fulfillment of the dreams as interpreted by him, he told the king’s chief butler to remember him when he was restored. “But remember me when it is well with you, and please show kindness to me; make mention of me to Pharaoh, and get me out of this house.” ‭‭(Gen‬ ‭40‬:‭14‬)‬‬.
He had looked forward to the chief butler acting as his intercessor and advocate before the king so that he could be freed from his unjust imprisonment. Unfortunately, the chief butler forgot him after he was restored. The help of man failed. He seemed to have looked up to him as his last hope to get the ears of the king in the matter. At that time, he had to trust God to show up for him. Only a miracle will get him out of the king’s dungeon! Yes, God did. He created a problem that only Joseph could solve, and that forced the chief butler to make mention of him before Pharaoh (Gen 41:9).
Friends, sometimes, God allows us to get to the end of ourselves and to discover the vanity of man’s help so that we can focus only on Him. When God becomes your only hope, then you are qualified for a miracle. May God disappoint all who think you will never be out of your present challenge, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer points
1. Father, please, give me help and do a miracle in my life, in Jesus’ name.
2. Father, please, bypass man’s help to deliver me out of my present situation, in Jesus’ name.

Today’s declarations
1. When I get to my wit’s end and I have no one to help, then I am qualified for a miracle.
2. When God visits me with a miracle, those who think I won’t be able to rise up again are disappointed.
