Text: Genesis 2:19-20
Memory verse:
âI said, âYou are gods, And all of you are children of the Most High.â ââ
PsaâŹlm 82âŹ:â6⏠NKJV
Do you know that God conferred so much authority on you so you can act like Him on earth? That is, to act like God. Being a god, you operate far higher than mere mortals. You rule and reign over death, darkness and all the evils in the world. Nothing comes to you without your permission.
God said to Moses, âSee, I have made you as God to PharaohâŠâ (Exo 7:1).
This is what Adam was before he lost that privilege to satan. He acted as God on earth. For example, after God created the animals, Adam gave them names and the names remained as he called them till today. Even God Himself didnât change any of the names that Adam gave them. ââŠAnd whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name.â ââ (Gen⏠â2âŹ:â19âŹ). That is, Adam had power to name his situation!
Thereafter, he lost this power to satan and satan became the god of this world and the human race became his subject. So satan could name situations as he willed, oppressing the human race and causing untold suffering on earth. However, the difference between Adam and satan is that, before Adam sinned, he was subject to God and he worked to establish His purpose but satan is in rebellion against God and always opposed to His purpose.
However, the good news is that, God has restored that lost privilege to act like God to the church through Christ. The church, including the individual members, can name situations as they desire and have power to allow what they want to happen and to disallow what they donât want to happen. Jesus said, âI tell you the truth, whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heavenâ. (Matt 18:18).
It means, when you prohibit anything in your life, family or in your business, heaven will also prohibit it. Likewise, if you permit anything on earth, God will also permit it in heaven.
Friends, you have the power to determine what happens in your life and in your territory. Donât blame God for whatever you permit nor ask God to do what He has given you the power to do. Name your situation! Act like God on earth! Hallelujah!
Prayer points
1. Whatever name God hasnât given me, I change now; every bad name be changed to good, in Jesusâ name.
2. From now on, I prohibit any form of evil, violence, wasting or destruction in my territory, in Jesusâ name.
Todayâs declarations
1. As a god on earth, I name my situations and God approves.
2. Whatever I donât want, I prohibit but permit what I want.
