Text: Matthew 28:16-18

The traffic officer who just raised up her hand to stop the incoming car couldn’t have done that with brute confidence, else she would be crushed to death! She raised her hand, not entertaining any iota of doubt, that the driver will apply the break. She was only appealing to the law that backed her up, which is the authority greater than herself. Friends, you need to understand this truth to be able to stand against the devil who is working overtime now. God delegated all authority to Jesus.
“…“All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.” (Matt 28‬:‭18‬).
‭‭It is this same authority that He also transferred to us. You also, like the lady traffic officer, need not to be intimidated but to fearlessly halt every operation, attack and trespassing of the devil in your affairs. Don’t ever try to be strong in yourself but in the power of God’s might (Eph 6:10). Instead, appeal to the authority greater than yourself, which is backed up by the immutable Word of God and a sure covenant.
Know that you are stronger than the devil.
“… you have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” ‭‭(I John‬ ‭4‬:‭4‬).
Who is in the world? It’s the devil. (John 14:30; 2 Cor 4:4).
Being in Christ, you are now greater than the devil and you have authority in heaven and on earth over him. Hallelujah!

Prayer points
1. I put a stop to every operation, assault and attack of the devil in my life in Jesus name.
2. Pray and personalize Ephesians 1:17-21 severally today and twice daily for the rest of the month.

Today’s declarations
1. I can’t stand against the devil in my own strength but only on the authority I have from Jesus.
2. The One inside me is thousand times greater than the the devil and his agents.
