Text: 2 Kings 5:1-3
Memory verse:
“And my trial which was in my flesh you did not despise or reject, but you received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus.” Galatians 4:14
A human angel is a person who suddenly shows up at your time of need, like an angel, to fulfill God’s purpose for your life. It is like what the Galatians were to Paul in our memory text and Mary to the families at the wedding in Cana of Galilee. Mary was just a family friend to the host but became their angel. At the peak of a great need during the wedding and without being sent, Mary took it upon herself to inform Jesus, expecting His intervention. She went ahead to the servants to give them hints on how to get the miracle. “His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.”” (John 2:5). What a privileged information!
Friends, don’t look down on the divine agent positioned on your way to help you. He or she may not look like or have the ability but can connect you to your divine helper, give you information needed for your miracle or intercede for you. For example, a maid orchestrated the healing of General Naaman (2 Kings 5:3); Mordecai gave information that preserved the king’s life (Esther 2:21-22). Barzillai, the eighty years old man travelled a long journey and risked his life to provide basic needs for David while fleeing from Absalom (2 Sam 19:31-32).
Miracles need human agents. As you pray and fast, be sensitive to the divine agent God will send to you. May you never miss your angel for your miracle in Jesus name.
Prayer points
1. Father, help me to be sensitive and never to miss the human angel for my miracles in Jesus name.
2. Father, please deal with any character traits in me that can shut the door against my human angel in Jesus name
Today’s declarations
