Text: Matthew 28:1-10
Memory verse:
āHe also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps.ā

After a medical test, his doctor referred him to a specialist doctor, who required that he did more tests, and thereafter, he began treatment. After several visits without any improvement, the consultant, being frustrated and without any sense of empathy, told his wife to return her husband to his doctor. The wife wept bitterly that day, and they both returned. Having seen the medical test results, their doctor told the man, āCancer of the spine is being suspected, and I will refer you to a Teaching Hospital in the southā. It was confirmed there, and the cancer had affected some of his vertebrae. He was there for several months, and everyone seemed to be waiting for the worst to happen, but this man never lost his faith in God. Suddenly, his condition began to improve to the surprise of everyone, including the medical team. This was contrary to the medical report that, even if the cancer spread was curtailed, since it had already damaged some of his lumbar vertebrae, he wouldnāt be able to walk again and will have to be on the wheelchair for the rest of his life. Unbelievable but undeniable, he walked again! He was miraculously healed and had a comeback! Itās been over thirty years now, and he is still strong and walking! Hallelujah!
āDoes the Spirit of the one who brought Jesus back to life live in you? Then, the one who brought Christ back to life will also make your mortal bodies alive by his Spirit, who lives in you.ā (Rom 8:11 GWT).
Our Lord Jesus had the greatest comeback. Friday was a dark day. The enemies triumphed as He was crucified. Saturday was a silent and hopeless day, as His body remained covered in the dark domain. But on the next day, early on Sunday morning, an angel rolled away the stone, and the Holy Spirit brought Him back to life! āWith a mighty triumph o’er His foes, He arose a Victor from the dark domainā. His foes were covered with shame (Matt 28:11-12)
Friends, if you are in Christ, the Comeback Spirit dwells in you, and your comeback is guaranteed. It doesnāt matter how deep the pit is, how dark the night is, or how fatal the failure is, you will have a comeback. He will bring you out of the horrible pit and the waterless pit. Joy is coming back in the morning after the night of weeping. Hallelujah!
Prayer points
1. Father, please restore life and health to my body and give me a comeback, by Your Holy Spirit who is in me, in Jesusā name.
2. Father, bring me out of every horrible pit and give me a new song that my adversaries will be covered with shame, in Jesusā name.
Todayās declarations
1. My comeback in every situation is guaranteed because the Holy Spirit is in me.
2. No pit is too deep, night is so dark, or failure is so fatal that I canātĀ comeĀ back.
