Text: Jeremiah 30:18-20
Memory verse:
“You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness,”
Psalms 30:11 NKJV
Science is doing much in the world today. Some things that were once regarded as dead cases are being turned around to better things today. Wastes are now converted to wealth. Yet, there are so many things that are still beyond the wisdom of man.
However, we serve a turnaround God. There is nothing too late, too bad or too difficult that He can’t turn around. He turned around Sarah’s reproach; the fear of Jacob; the captivity of Israel in Egypt; the weeping of Ruth; the siege of Samaria and the losses of David.
With the situation in the world today, it is easy for one to think that his or her situation will remain like this or may never be able to see a turnaround in view. It’s easy to lose hope and to believe that things won’t work out again or your health won’t get better. But hear God’s message to you,
“‘I’ll turn things around for Jacob. I’ll compassionately come in and rebuild homes. The town will be rebuilt on its old foundations; the mansions will be splendid again. Thanksgivings will pour out of the windows; laughter will spill through the doors. Things will get better and better. Depression days are over. They’ll thrive, they’ll flourish. The days of contempt will be over. (Jer 30:18-19 MSG).
Friends, don’t believe that thought that says ‘your situation is permanent’. Don’t frustrate God’s plan for your life by believing the devil’s lie. God will turn things around for you. Your family will bounce back again. Your business will thrive. Your health will spring forth. Your excellent academic performance will be restored. Depression days are over. Days that are better than the ‘good old days’ are coming for you and our nation. Economic depression will come to an end and our currency will regain its value. We will flourish as individuals and as a people. Your end will be better than your beginning. That was what happened to David after all that he passed through. He said, “You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing.,” (Psa 30:11 NLT).
“… We went through fire and flood, but you brought us to a place of great abundance.” (Psa 66:12 NLT).
Turn your faith loose today by believing that God is bringing you a turnaround. “In the end I will turn things around for the people…” (Zeph 3:9). Mountains stand for unmovable or permanent obstacles. But God says your mountains shall vanish or become a molehill before you (Exo 14:13; Zechariah 4:7). God will clear the obstacles before you. Nothing will limit you anymore. He will connect you to the right people. Then thanksgivings will pour out of your windows; laughter will spill through your doors. Hallelujah!
