Topic: The Way Maker

Text: Exodus 14: 13-15
Message
Father, we just worship you. We honour you. Great and mighty God; we praise you. Hallelujah to your name. Hallelujah to your name. Worship song. So, we invite you tonight, Father. Like you did in the days of old, we asked that you will still do more tonight in Jesus nae=me. Amen! Hallelujah. So, I want you to listen very carefully and flow along with me. We started with who the way maker is. He is the one who makes the way where there is no way before. And we said in the morning that the power of Giod that creates way is still here. And his promises are Yes and Amen. The way maker is the God that guides us through impossible situations. The way maker suggests to us that He guides through impossible situations. He tells us what to do and how to go about it. Before you know it, where you think there is no way before; a way wil begin to appear. A person who doesn’t know what to do will be frustrated. But if you know what to do; then life will become easier and it will no longer be trial and error. The problem with trial and error is that time is going, efforts are being wasted, resources are being wasted and if the person is not careful; the person may end up not achieving anything. Wen God guides you; then you will succeed. Let’s go back to that story in the book of Exodus. The Israelites were in an impossible situation and they cried to the Lord. And Moses told them that Stand still and trust the Lord and see what the works of God. Wait and see the salvation of the Lord that the Egyptians you see today; you will never see them anymore. The Lord shall fight for you and you shall hold your peace. Verse 16 says: And the Lord told Moses that why are you crying to me? It means that between verse 14 and verse 15. In verse 14, Moses told the people: the Lord shall fight for you and you shall hold your peace. In verse 15: The Lord told Moses: why are you crying to me? This means between verse 14 and 15; Moss cried to the Lord. Anybody in an impossible situation must create time to cry to God. We dd not know whether Moses separated himself into a secret place and pray to God. The only thing we know is that Moses prayed. He needs God to guide him on what to do. About 600, 000 Israelites left Egypt, without counting children and women. And nobody among them knows the way forward. But only Moses went to pray. The Lord says t Moses. Moses, why are you crying to me? God, you are the one who sent me on this assignment and brought this people and we don’t know what to od. Can you lead us now O God? Listen to me. We said: The way making power of God lies in his promises. But for every promise to come to pass; there must be prayers. Prayers; Promise; Performance. It is prayer that leads promise to performance. It takes prayer that leads the promise to performance. God told Elijah in the Book of Kings that I am going to rain. Ahab climbed his horses to the city, but Elijah climbed the mountain to pray. Between promise and performance; there is an ingredient called prayer. Elijah kept sending his servant to go and check whether there is a cloud until the seventh time and the boy says: rain is about to fall. God made a promise to the children of Israel and Jeremiah the prophet said, in this captivity, you will be there for 70 years. And when the seventieth year came; Daniel was reading the Book of the prophet of Jeremiah and he saw that there is a promise of God that it is seventy years that they are going to spend in captivity. Thank God for those of us who are fasting in this meeting. Daniel keeps fasting until the twenty first day when Angel Gabriel brought the answer to his prayers for him. When we pray, we talk to God; God talks back to us and he guides us through impossible situations. God told Moses that: tell the children of Israel that: Go forward. Say to your neighbour: you cannot remain at this situation again; move forward! There is no road forward; but when God says something and it looks impossible; it means it is really possible. See how God guides through impossible situation. God told the Israelites that Move forward! All those times they were crying; Moses had the rod. The solution was in his hand. He did not know that the answer was in his hand. There was an unrecognized resource that he can use. There is hidden capacity inside you. You don’t know that you have it. May God open your eyes to it! Amen! Your hidden capacity at the meeting will be revealed in Jessus name! The Midianites were oppressing Israel in the book of Judges. They always come during the time of harvest and they will come like locust to cart away their harvest. The Bible was threshing corn at the place of winepress. Have you seen where they make palm oil? Is it a flat surface or a hollow surface? When you now see somebody threshing corn at the place of winepress; it is because it is a hollow place where he can hide. Hidden capacity! God appeared to him and said O Gideon, mighty man of valour! And Gideon said my tribe (Manasseh) is the smallest in Israel. And in my tribe; my clan is the weakest and smallest. And in my clan; my family were the smallest. The Angel said: Go in this your might! There is a hidden capacity. A God-embedded potential in you that is lying down dormant; God will bring it pout for you.
Moses was carrying that miracle but he did not know. God opened his eyes and ears and tell him to bring out the miracle. The solution is in your hand. There is a miracle in your hand that I want to use! And unrecognized resource – a hidden capacity – a God-embedded potential and an overlooked instrument of power – some graces and ideas you have – There are some information you have but God is bringing them out for you in Jesus name. The story of the widow in the bible who inherited debts from his late husband in the Book of Kings. She was in an impossible situation but the solution is in her house. So, he said to her; go and borrow vessels from everywhere. Apart from having the jar of oil; she has a persuasive skill. Before, it was money you used to borrow, but now, go and borrow pots. He said: Borrow plenty! The skill that you have overlooked that you have that will take you to your next level; let them manifest in Jesus name!
